I wouldn't be surprised if it was one turn for each season like in the first. Barring that one for each month. I don't think we'll get two week turns like in Napoleon.

Yeah, it will probably be 6 month turns. Too bad, I really liked the 2 week turns from Napoleon! It always felt more realistic.

i know i liked it too but i doubt they will do it since the game lasts like 30+ years

if only they put a option for it like this
    Really Fast:1 turn = 2 years (3 or 4 works too)
    Fast Game:1 turn = 1 years
    Medium:1 turn = 2 seasons or 6 months
    slow: 1 turn = 1 season or 3 months
    very slow:1 turn=1 month
    marathon:1 turn=2 weeks

    like in civilization 4 colonization

but of course this is more Work for CA and they wont do if because they have to alter the contruction time and what not

I voted for this as well assuming the time period is 1530 - 1592 with 4 turns a year that is 248 turns. Anything less the 248 turns is too short for an epic game.

4 years per turn with an annual harvest, just like Shogun 1

The IGN article already mentioned fighting in spring and winter, so that means the difference will be at LEAST 3 months. Less would be too little time, imo.

This is a good point too.

I would be very surprised if it isn't 4 turns a year like the original.

Any turns longer than 6 months is unlikely, cause CA said they made the campaign map with different seasons (At least spring and winter).

I can't honestly see that it really matters that much, as the overall Grand Campaign will probably run for about 200 turns or so, regardless of the nominal "turns per whatever ...".

I'm hoping for 2 weeks per turn, even though it may be unlikely due to the larger timescale of the game.
The shorter time periods actually made the time of the year important when going into Russia, or crossing mountains.=, and I think that tactical element will need to be retained in Shogun.

All 4 seasons are comfirmed to be represented again. So I'm guessing about 3 months a turn.

Just speculating of course but i think/hope for 4 turns per year so we can truely enjoy the 4 seasons graphically and gameplaywise !

3 months per turn, because in PG Gamer UK they say 4 turns per year, so it's the more logical.

4 turns per year sounds about right, each season will be incuded and it wont progress at too slow a rate. Seems logical.

Very easy - four turns per year. Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter.

Same as in the first STW and seems logical.
The timeframe will be around 70 years. With four turns/year resulting in 280 turns total.
Monthly or Weekly makes no sense with such a long timeframe and 6 month or yearly turns would be way to few.
