Newcastle is pretty decent but there are much better brown ales out there. Rogue's is delicious, Samuel Smith's is really damn good, then you have Dogfish Head's Indian Brown Ale.

It's probably one of the best mass produced 'you can find in all pubs in the UK' beers.

Aye Toon, it's a canny drop like!

IPA, I love how you gave MGD a C- but your rating is 12.2% higher than the average! And Rene just likes every beer he drinks...a lot!

Haha when ordering my beer I check it on BA and usually choose the highest ones to order.
    Particularly can't wait for:http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/147/8951 though

    also i've cellared some beers
    Black Albert (2007,2010)
    Orval (2011)
    Rochefort 10 (2011)
    St. Bernadus 12 (2011)
    Palo Santo Marron (2010)
    Chimay Blue (2011)
    Sierra Nevada Bigfoot (2011)
    Old Foghorn (2011)

I'll probably give most of them a year, though not sure when to drink the Black Albert 2007, in one year it'll be 5 years old!

I meant the comment more as the beer is terrible rather than poor reviewing.

The lowest rated beer I reviewed was the Ruby Redbird with a D-. I may have been extremely biased when reviewing it but...when a beer is that bad it deserves to be ridiculed.

Damnit, don't post anything about the Oak Aged Arrogant Bastard. It makes me so...lustful for it.

I've stopped bothering to review macro lagers or anything macro tbh. I've had tons of lagers that were just so, lagery there isnt much interesting to write about them.

Yeah, they lack complexity and so if you've reviewed one then you've pretty much reviewed them all. Although...I've found Coors has a sort of berry flavor...which is weird but I haven't drank a Coors in forever.

Oh, and I don't know if you get Lagunitas beers, but I'm obsessed with their Lucky 13. I fell in love with it the first time I tried it. The best thing about Lagunitas beers is their price. The brewery makes quality beers, I don't think I've had one of theirs I've disliked, and cost on average a dollar or two less than most other breweries' beers (for 22 oz).

    Beer review!!!

Summer Pils by Saint Arnold Brewing Co.

So, it's summer here in Texas and it's been in the high 90s or over 100 for about the last three or so weeks. What better beer to drink than something light and refreshing? What better to drink than a Texas pilsner? The last Saint Arnold beer I had was their 11th anniversary double IPA and oh boy was it great. I'm expecting to enjoy this one as well.

I poured this into my tall, chilled pilsner glass. It's absolutely clear, a golden-yellow color, and forms a big frothy white head. A lot of bubbles float to the top as the head recedes to a thin film on top. There's a bit of lacing left while drinking.

Summer Pils smells like wheat and grass. I imagine it smelling like being in a field of wheat with an ocean of prairie grass around. For those who have been on a farm you might understand what I'm talking about. It's a tad sweet and nutty as well.

Sweet malts dominate here with a lot of graininess/breadiness that lingers. There's a bit of hoppiness but it's not strong at all. Not very complex with the flavors but I do enjoy the taste.

The mouthfeel is very light but not watery. The higher carbonation adds some bite and makes a crisp beginning but after that it's very smooth. Very drinkable.

While this isn't as hoppy as I'd like it to be for a pilsner, this is still a good beer. This is a damn good beer to choose to drink on a hot summer Texas day.

    Appearance: 4
    Smell: 3.5
    Taste: 4
    Mouthfeel: 3.5
    Overall: 3.85

Went to a random off license today, they didn't have many beers, but for some reason they had Goose Island Honkers Ale! Got me some of that! Also I got some Monty Python's Holy Grale and Wadsworth Swordfish, which is beer mixed with rum, hopefully it will age well.

Perfect beer for hot weather eh?

The funny thing is that it's cold and raining here in England and i'm having some (out of date) Munich Helles Lagers, and they're actually quick good, better than normal lagers. They have quite a sour kick to them! Had the Neumarkter Lammsbrau Urstoff already, now moving onto the Brauhaus Schweinfurt Lagerbier.

I've had the Monty Python ale. I remember it wasn't that good but I drank it very long ago.

I've been to Virginia once while my family was on a trip to DC. We spent some time hanging out at Mount Vernon.

Unfortunately, I've not seen any Souther Tier down here. We had a bunch when I was up in Alaska but I never got any. I...don't know why I never tried their stuff. That stout looks delicious. Am I the only person who gets hungry when I see a really good looking beer?

I'm currently drinking an Innis & Gunn oak aged beer. It spends 77 days in a bourbon barrel from Kentucky so it develops a bourbon colouring and a vanillary-oak like smell and taste. Any one here had it?

Yeah I quite liked it, mine had a bit of a manky cap, but it was good. It's like a cross between whiskey and beer. If i remember you get some nice malty sweet/toffee notes and a good alcohol warmth from it.
