Giants confirmed to be in the game.
I love the traditional iconography thing they have going. Ironically it's the last 5 pics, not the first 2, that give me the most faith S2 might be good.
Ehm ... beside picture 1 whish shows good that japanese paper houses burn good in the game and Picture 2 ...
Are the other one really CA artwork or not only copies of some original japanese pictures of that age? Sorry to say, but it seems for me more that they are not CA artwork ...

Digging the art direction for Transition/Loading Screens, however, I hope they continue down path from Napoleon and provide well-painted UI cards for generals and whatnot; similar to what Magitech and Koei have done in their games.

Great work, the original Shogun paid a lot more attention to atmosphere and aesthetics than any subsequent TW title (IMO) and hopefully this artwork signifies a continuation of that idea.

No, the second is from Takeda 3 (a TW-esque game from Magitech, a low budget company out of Canada) and the first is from Koei's Nobunaga's Ambition (either 12 or 13 I can't remember).
Their focus on a good art style is one of their strong points, let's hope CA can match. (especially Magitech, who have had less resources to work with on all of their games than CA does on any one game)
