"Video games are a waste of time for men with nothing else to do"
why stay in a fictional world when there is a real one right out the door?
Skipped ETW and NTW since the time periods didn't interest me, and after all the problems reported it seems like a good choice.
Going back to the time of the Samurai should be lots of fun. When Europa Barbaroum 2 comes out it will most certainly keep me entertained with the whole Roman times.
Should be a maybe option there. I never really did like Shogun that much and the period in history isn't one of my favorites (I'm a history buff so I like all history, but feudal Japan was never in the top 10). I'll decide when more info and images and videos and such come. Personally, I would have preferred Rome II or Med III or one based in the 1700 and 1800s (like that trial they released not to long ago).
No matter how bad a TW title may seem, no matter how uninterested I am in the time-frame, I will NEVER, NEVER, EVER, pass up a SINGLE TW game
Advance to Contact. Duffer Mod.
I will probably get it

- and so was the death of the TW modding community heard. with a simple, 'no'.Q: Will there be a EB3 for E:TW?
A: Because of the engine's limitations when it comes to total conversions, the answer is no.
It's looking like a big no right now
I'll be skipping this one as well. I have very little interest in feudal japan, or the time period, or conquering provinces instead of countries and continents. Seems like a early death to the naval portion of the game as well. Could easily picture it implemented into other eras, but not this one.
If, however, the enemy should display a capacity for resistance against all human expectations, then the battalions must attack when they are within twenty paces, or better still, within ten paces, and give the enemy a strong volley in the face. - Frederick II, the Great
If this game had come out when RTW did I probably would have been more "excited" as I was more into japanese history at the time I'll still play it if its not a steaming pile bugs like empire was when i launched.
I have zero interest in asian history. Thus skipping.
Might but I will wait and see game play and other stuff. If it ends up not being moddable and ending up like empire then no.
This pole does not make sense as those who like shogun will come here mostly (there are exceptions like me) and those who dont like it will stay in rome or medieval forums. Those who say the reason they are going to buy this is because they like japanize history good luck with that because if CA teaches you one thing historical accuracy is one thing you will not get.
Was never interested in the Original back when it was released and of course I have no interest in a game that focuses 100% entirely on Japan with no China/Korea in it. I'll skip and save my money towards a TW game that has a map that covers more than one country.
I totally don't care about Shogun 2 .
There is only one game ever for me -Rome Total War 2 !
Fitz Salnarville, Duke William's favourite knyghte,
To noble Edelwarde his life dyd yielde;
Withe hys tylte launce hee stroke with thilk a myghte,
The Norman's bowels steemde upon the feeld.
Old Salnarville beheld hys son lie ded, 235
Against Erie Edelward his bowe-strynge drewe;
But Harold at one blowe made tweine his head;
He dy'd before the poignant arrowe flew.
So was the hope of all the issue gone,
And in one battle fell the sire and son.
After having enjoyed gunpowder artillery and napoleonic tactics, if I wanted to go back to some hand to hand fighting I would play RomeTW.
Multiplayer is still alive, got many friends there and I dont really want to buy a remake. Still disapointed by MTW2.
