I like Samurai warfare in general so it appeals to me - I would of preferred RTW2 though
Skip it? no. This is what I've been waiting ten years for. All the bandwagoneers who jumped on with RTW and ETW can suck it. Shogun has always been the best game in the series, and I am glad they're making a revamp sequel for it. 'Bout ing time.
No I will buy it. Shogun was the best game in the series so I´m curious to play a remake.
In contrary I would not buy a Rome2 without modding possibilities. Anyone remember the vanilla RTW-campaign? Now compare it to EB and ROP (my two favourite mods). I will for sure not play a Rome2 that would suck as much as umodded RTW1.
would have to been slightly interested but the fantasy units are a real turn off
I most definitly will until it's in the bargain bin and someone fixes this problem...
One particularly novel development is the introduction of hero units. These are warriors who have perfected a fighting art and can carve their way through enemy armies without much trouble at all. Based on mythologized historical figures like the warrior monk Benkei, hero units are a nearly unstoppable force on the battlefield, capable of holding bridge crossings against entire armies, or smashing through a battle line to engage the enemy general.
I cant help but be attracted to Shogun 2. I still remember playing the original Shogun all those years back.
If it has no mod possibilities and is purely a Steam based activation system. No I will not buy it.
sponsered by the noble Prisca
I think I'll skip this game too !!

Most likely I will. Here was hoping for R2TW, but alas...
Samurais and medieval Japan doesn't interest me in the slightest. Also very worried about the so-called hero units.

As I'm not a Euro-centric elitist, I will definitely be picking this game up.
No, I bought into NTW after that train-wreck ETW so why not run blindly into this next title? What doesn't kill us only makes us stronger.
Well if the give the modders the tools and dump this new reigon system thats was in ETW/NTW whit smal villages then i will mabey buy it.
I enjoyed Empire, so my not buying it has nothing to do with that. Its purely that Japanese history and culture is something that doesn't interest me at all, and so it is likely that I will not get into the game as much as I have done with Rome and Empire. It was the same with M2TW, the setting doesn't interest me that much and I didn't buy it when it came out. I have bought it since when I was able to get it massively reduced, and really haven't got into it at all. I probably will end up getting Shogun2 at some point just to try it out, but not until I can get it cheaply.
already skipped empire and napoleon of course due to their gunpowder centric crap...
i voted no.
Although its not what i was wanting, i will give it a damn good go and will no doubt love it
