Although I have been thinking about it. Ancient times might be a bit... dull unless they can find something truly interesting like Ancient Egypt. The future, might not work... could, but might not. Fantasy just kills off all that makes TW great IMO. I have no idea where it could go, although Rome 2 PLES

LOL Since I found out the disappointing news that Shogun2 was official I've been thinking the same thing. I'll be bypassing TW for the first time. At least I'll be saving money. For a year at least

Rome 2....... but honestly I still hope for 1814-1914 Total War. I think there is more to be had in the firearms era

I'd say it would have to be Rome 2. I think many are disappointed that it's not this time around and it would be natural to go back to Rome next. Here is the IGN article on Shogun 2 for those who haven't seen it.

I personally would not care if the map ended near constantinople or the balkans, I would not have to have the western european powers. The focus should be on the Khan and his family. Leveling them up with the new features, etc. I would love that game.

Probably because of the majority of people I've seen posting in response to the Shogun 2 announcement are saying they're not interested and are going to pass on it.
