    Thanks! I am particularly encouraged by people that have seen almost no hit to their fps. I am looking for how to adjust the fuse length on howitzer shells if anyone knows where it is. (Lazy Knight mentions that he doesn't know either in the db resource.)

    The delay between the shell being fired and when it explodes. (Occasionally, you can see howitzer shells sitting on the ground before they go off) I am looking to make this longer and, hopefully, over a range of time. I am also not sure how the game models this...if it is between x and y seconds after being fired or at a certain height or a certain distance from the target or if it just polls all unexploded shells every few tenths of a second and explodes them all at once.

    In version 1.2 I spread the smoke out from the muskets and tweaked the cannons a bit. Version 1.3 was just to fix the embers from burning buildings which were far too large and I thought it warrented its own version.

    Added a version with whiter explosion smoke as well as dark melee dust and a few other tweaks. Works with the Penninsular campaign and most mods.

    I might have made things a bit confusing by leaving both versions up. White has everything that 1.3 has and works as a stand-alone. White is smaller because it uses in-game textures to get the particle effects. I will try to edit the main post to make this clear.

    ok, thanks information

    Edit: This white patch working well, but cannon's smoke has changed back to vanilla smoke. The smoke doesn't come out from cannon and stay in the air, like in the video.

    That smoke should be working fine. I have been testing cannons all morning for something unrelated and am not missing any effects. I suggest you either have a mod that modifies effects\landbattles.xml or db\projectiles. If it is the latter, then the 4th last column would be pointing to an effect group not named in my file, or the vanilla one for that matter, because I did not alter these names.

    Example: 6 pound shot uses the firing animation LandGunFire_small. If the projectiles table has been changed, it will try to animate some other effect group. If that effect group isn't one in landbattles.xml, then it won't animate.

    It would have to be made compatible, I believe. Whiff has very good compatibility; as long as landbattles.xml is not changed or the names of things referenced in landbattles.xml are not changed, it will work. I would be quite happy to assist Toon in getting Whiff into his all in one mod...provided he thinks it is "up to snuff"

    Don't forget that I have chosen specific moments, angles, lighting and compositions, and then enhanced the focus 'depth' and textures. That said these are just gameplay shots and the smoke is as per the mod, in-game. You just have to get down into the fray to see this kind of thing. But be warned - if you get involved in the local drama and visuals, the AI will be kicking your butt somewhere else!

    I watched the newest Whiff of Sulphur video and watched how those cannons working in that. IT is not same like in my game!

    and then smoke disappearing quickly as the smoke will keep smoking on cannon in the newest video. this is not realistic and it kill my battle-feel. I can send a video clip sooner.
