    I have started moddin Adamus' text files and so far I have managed to implement the RB Fleet sailors, Equites Stablesiana and Pedites Sagittarii, with proper unit cards and names. The skins are beautiful. Tomorrow I have a wetting to attend but I hope to implement all RB units as soon as possible. When I have finished I will post the files, if you like. Good night, everybody

    @Atilla: As you now got BI, will you place the unit cards in the right folders and give them the right names and update the upload? That would be nice! :wink:

    GODzilla, for now, the new skins that are available in-game replace the existing skins (haven't created new units), so they are available in campaign game. I don't really want to add those new units I listed myself, because I only have experience in modding text files and don't want to unbalance the game. I basically just took the quickest route to get the new skins into the game because people were anxious to see them.

    As for re-naming units, adding new descriptions, etc - that's up to Attila as it is his mod But i'm happy to do the text-file editing for him if he wants.

    BTW Attila, I've sent you a PM. Would be grateful if you would read it and get back to me.

    Really am going now, will check back here in about 10 hours for feedback, etc.

    Hmmm, just added Milites Stationari and Foederati swordsmen...all is going well. Adamus, if you want, I could later post my files with the Romano-Britons already implemented, so you have "only" to add the Empires' units...Nighty night

    Got a problem: even with new TXT files my BI keeps CTD... Sunday when i come back from week end i'll reinstall,but someone could upload his ATILLA' files in the right directories for me ? because i'm not sure i've done everything well and it would be useful to have a working setup.     i copied all the files to the right places but this mod CTD as soon as I executed RomeTW-BI.exe

    please at least make a readme file with install instructions

    Caprera and euporos, it says in the readme that if you have other mods installed that modify descr_model_battle.txt or export_descr_unit.txt (as most mods will), then this won't be compatible.

    If you could use the show_err command and give me the reason why you get a CTD, that would be more helpful.

    I have edited the original link and re-posted the files, fixing a problem with the Legio Palatinae, and putting the files in the right folders as some of you had requested. Now just unzip, go to you RTW directory (default: c:\Program Files\Activision\Rome Total War) and paste the bi folder supplied over the original one. I have noticed problems with the Romano-British units in the game - as I said before, I didn't thoroughly test it the first time, so I suggest you don't play as them.

    I have done a lot more work on this already (hopefully will post this early next week), re-naming the units, utilising more of Attila's textures and putting the unit cards in the right folders. In all text files that I've edited, I've moved the entries I've changed to the end of the file, so if someone else wants to make this compatible with other mods it should make their job a bit easier.

    The Adamus work runs if you have polite BI version...if you makes change you need to use prudence and to know a little of modding...
    I am trying now to put in some changes with other units ( for example change the sarmatian equites with west lanciari and to give the units he did not included)

    brilliant skins but the last 2 im not really keen on the shields as the PX looks runny and basic. this might be normal and what they were like and i might just be a bully but i dont like it. fantastic overall though

    I managed to get it working thanks to adamus editing the model and unit files and i just have to say these units are fantastic. Please produce more for the other factions Attila, your work is AWESOME!

    It was hard but I have finally finished! I have implemented ALL Atilla's Romano-British skins and units!
    They rule. Now, just some little stat modding and I am ready to go crusading!

    Default I modded some other units too

    to make the auxilia paladina heavy I used auxilia paladina address moving tha legio paladina to 1st coortes
    I made the west clibanari using the Graal knight address
    and the west cataphrat using auxilia sarmatian
    i want to make scutari and promoti too early
    I think is important fo follow the Attila organization of the empire armies cause is much better then Vanilla one
    the very my problem is to make news units without getting CTDs and changing address and names for units saving the no texture files. I was esxpert in mediovalTW files in Rome I am not.

    Friend had a semi-mental breakdown last night so we didn't end up doing anything.

    The up side is, I got some time to go hardcore on the mod implementation.

    I combined Lusted's Mod with Atilla's.

    Lusted's infantry are great except the Foederati units. Also the cavalry needed more diversity.

    So I combed though Atilla's skins and models looking for ones that weren't too bright. I noticed that some units had brighter textures than others. Some units had coats of chainmail that look more like burnished chrome, and others looked more like good quality iron, which is realistic.

    Anyway, my game looks great now and I wish I could post a few screens but no host!

    Atilla, I love your skins and models, but when can we expect to see the brightness toned down to meet BI lighting? in v2.0?

    the infantry paladins units of Cemendur are wonderful but the cavalry units of Attila are better. The army organization of Atilla reoladed is surely more realistic too.

    So I think that I will use Lusted paladin legions and paladin auxilia, with the other Atilla skins.

    Don't worry about text files, Adamus is already coding them. And v 2.0 will include proper text files and new sassanids.
