Battle of Auerstadt
The battle was probably the most glorious victory fought by Napoleon's marshals. Davout with his III corps (about 27,000) single-handed defeated the Duke of Brunswick's 90,000men Prussian army.
I have watched a cool video made by Christian Sturm about the twin battles, which really awesome.
I want to make a battle scenario for myself using Emperor Batman's 1805 mode. Can somebody recommend the custom battle map, order of battle, and starting positions to better represent the battle??
And as a great admirer of Davout, please tell me how he beat the mighty Prussian army (I welcome good websites)!!

Re: Battle of Auerstadt
This website has an extract from a book on Davout - the section is about the prelude to Auuerstadt http://www.militaryhistorypress.com/...onsFinest.html
This site http://www.napoleonguide.com/maps_hmauers.htm has a copy of the Alison map of Auerstadt.
This site
http://www.napoleon-series.org/military/organization/c_artillery.html
has an article summarising how french artillery was deployed and utilised.
I conclude from my various readings that had the Prussians gathered their forces and attacked Davout en masse they would have won, but they persisted in attacking in piece meal fashion, allowing Davout to react bt feeding in his battalions as they arrived to meet the greatest threat & defeat the various Prussian attacks in detail.....
If you can get hold of a copy look at F G Hourtelle's "Jena-Austerdat The Triumph of the Eagle" as it contains good maps of how the battle of Auerstadt developed.

Don't forget to take screenshots if you can.
Atleast somebody's doing something with my mods, getting a little tired of Pdguru spamming his mods out by the day then advertising them in his and others' screenshots.
