Nessj you should also make the walls so that you can put cannons on them i think they did it in "The THirty years war" mod.
i try that, with the walls, but im not sure if its worth the time.
i already have a custom fort in it.
for the smoke, i will take my own smoke mod, as im not statisfied with the amount of smoke of 1648mod. (its too much for me)
And now no one sees my mapping apply guys
so i just post it a second time :
Hey Guys !
As you might have noticed, im making this mod nearly alone by now.
And that is why i need Help, because i can not succeed to make all of the campaign map beautiful by myself.
Im not a very talented mapper, it looks rather stupid when i map
So i would be glad if someone, some talented mapper could :
- make the coasts smooth in the heights map
- make a map ground types, which fits reality
- make a climates map which fits the reality
The heights map is already finished, except the smooth coasts.
Thank you, and i hope someone does it, because i think i will get everything ready to play until September, except campaign map.
Sincerely,
Nessj
I wish I could help with the map, but I have no knowledge of it. At my best, I could probably do your worst
All I'm good for is coding in unit models, factions, ui (not making ui, but coding it in), etc. That, and bug hunts.
hey ness,
I don't have that much mapping experience but if you send me the map files I'll see if I can improve something.

I am of the opinion that you should continue with what you have. Isandlwanda can take a look at the map. If it's done by the time you release, then great. If not go with what you have. A new campaign map could be posted in the next major patch. If Isandlwana runs into issues I am also willing to give the campaign map a go. I have a vested interest in this mod and seeing it to completion.
so guys,
i just wanted to show a life-sign, im still working![]()
Thanks for the update. Are you still stuck on the campaign map issues, or just continuing with the unit updates?

I'm curious how you will implement the slave trading feature? will there be buildings your faction can build to trade slaves (like how we have merchant wharfs for sea trade) or will the factions be enslaving areas that they conquered (like with an enslave button after you take a settlement)?
there is a script for that, which contains, that you have to put merchants in africa, and conquer regions in africa, and also buildings, but i dont want to tell everything already, and the script is done for 80%..
