[HoI3] Newbie Help

I recently 'upgraded' to HoI3, and i'm finding it a bit of a rough transition, especially the new Command System and for some reason I can't seem too organize resources very well, virtually always loosing resources...

Ideas?

dont send more troops than you can supply.

Do you mean in general losing resources from the national pool or your units are always out of supply?

I dislike the trade system ingame, I always automate it and the AI does a good job. An important thing to remember: you need to assign leadership to diplomacy, as it costs diplomatic influence to sign trade deals. If you're not investing enough you can't make any deals and the problems are never solved.
