Topic title: Did Athenian attitudes to slavery undermine its successes?
Details: When we study ancient Athens today (that is, the Athens of the Archaic and Classical periods), should we think less of its other achievements because of its slave culture?
Position: I am of the opinion that its slave culture does undermine its achievements.

Topic Title: Me and The Man challenge Mugabe over Zimbabwe is it Good or Bad.
Details: Mugabe brought up the topic as an off topic debate in a thread about the end of the world and then we had an debate about that with some trolling (Not me or Man). Anyway you see it in the papers and the news Zimbabwe is in a crisis with Inflation high and violence against those against the government is Zimbabwe as good as Mugabe says it is or is it as bad as the news says it is.
Position: Me and the man are not against people but against the poilcies of the president, mugabe.

Details; Abortion is a touchy issue. Since the 1970's, major parties have been lobbying for keeping it or banning it. Should it be banned or should Women have the choice to decide?

Topic: Should Stem Cell usage and research be banned?
Details: The extraction of embryonic stem cells essentially destroys the embryo. Is this morally correct? Should we have the right to kill an embryo to save or help someone?

Details: With the Classica era as a focal point, which was the more influential and successful of the two powers of Greece? Which was the superior governmental system, and all other issues, whether they be political, military, intellectual or moral.

Topic: Is the Trinity a correct teaching?
Details: The Trinity doctrine one of the more fundamental teachings for most Christian religions. Nevertheless, the proof to support such a thing is very murky. Is the Trinity correct, or is God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit / Ghost three separate entities?
Position: I am against the Trinity doctrine.

Topic title: Is killing animals wrong?
Details: The debate should examine the moral question of killing animals. Is it acceptable or not? Why isn't it acceptable? What happened to some people who'd like to ban our no.1. food resource? Why can't you kill a goddamn fly or mosquito? What's wrong with going and hunting some deers for your own amusement? The disputers should clarify their bias, f.e. if they are Buddhists, vegans. Drop a PM if you're interested and/or would like to discuss the details.

Details; Should there be rules in War? Should there be regulations, like the Geneva Convention, set up to prevent war crimes? But since they have an hard time being enforce, are they really worth it from an military and ethical standpoint?

Topic: Was the Ottoman Empire a positive influence on Europe?
Details: One might argue that despite all the killings the Ottoman Empire had religious tolerance at the time and it's constant wars with the Catholic powers helped protestantism emerge in northern Europe and it's blockading of the trade routes might've indirectly led to the discovery of the Americas.
Position: I view the Ottoman Empire as a negative influence on Europe.
