hey vlad i want to download this mod and play it but megaupload link is down and i tryed one off the other filesonic is down i downloaded from one of the other link and the file was bad can you pls upload this to megaupload again pls i would love to give this ago

Try the first link again (the one from the Marka website). It works fine for me. Make sure you apply the patch 1.07 (also attached). Also, be sure to apply one day's fixes (in post #102 of the same thread), as they will clear up some "silver surfer" units among other things. All that said, you are installing over a clean version of Rusichi: Total War, 1.0 + patch 1.1, right?

Going to install this game,glad to see there is still alot of interest in this mod as i think its one of the best out there,im currently playing CC's Battle of the Baltic mod and alot of vlads skins are in there,they are a godsend too this game and hamiltons (frenchys) use of these skins that he moddified for the english roster are fabulous,none of this would have been possible without the marka team putting this great mod out there for MTW fans,im hoping i can convince a few of the regular modders to add more of the Mongol Invasion skins too the SS 6.4 BotB mod as i think that it will only enhance this mod even more,much appreciate your posts here to Cyprian

It is a fantastic mod, isn't it? I'm really enjoying the immersion, the complexity of the faction relationships (In my current campaign, the Prussians are, rather ironically, crusading against the Teutonic Order!) The map is incredible–-what a great idea to include metropolises as well as smaller "suburb" towns. Truly revolutionary on the part of the Rusichi team! And Vlad's navigable rivers are gorgeous, to boot.

BftB is a good mod, too. I only wish there were more factions (more Rus, Bohemians, etc.). Also, there's a great opportunity to include "shadow factions" to simulate the constant civil wars and revolts of that era. (Of course, I'm not about to suggest this to Caesar himself, as that good man has enough on his plate at the moment.) Unfortunately, we've been a bit spoiled by Rusichi and Mongol Invasion when it comes to great skins + faction lineup. Also, I like Vlad's idea of splitting the Mongols into two hordes, though it might still require some play-testing.

Do you mean that SS6.4 uses Marka/Vlad skins in the English roster? Really? I know that they use Vlad's Scots, which are not my favourite, btw; too much Braveheart. Though, I find it hilarious that Vlad's mod uses slightly modified versions of the Scots skins for the Prussians. That's innovation!

You might have to try a couple of times though, or maybe even different days. That's at least how I managed to download all files. While your at it playing this mod you could also watch the russian films Mongol, about Djinghis Khan, and Orda, about the mongol invasions.

Mod Mongol Invasion version 2.0 for game Medieval 2 Kimgdoms

For the Mongol Invasion mod version 2.0 you need the Original Game Medieval 2 Kingdoms.
Installation procedure for the Mongol Invasion Mod 2.0 :
1) Install Mod Rusichi_TW_1_0 (use exe file)
2) Install the patch Rusichi_TW_patch_1_1_rus (use exe file)
3) Open the Mongol Invasion 2 folder, and copy the contents of this folder to the folder where your game Medieval 2 Kingdoms is located.
( If you installed game Medieval 2 Kingoms from Steam - so your original game located in folder: steam/steamapps/common/Medieval II Total War ).
You need to copy the files with replacement (and for safety it is advisable to save the original game in a separate folder, this is very important ! )
Before starting the game for the first time, you need to open the folder steam/steamapps/common/Medieval II TotalWar/ mods/ Rusichi_TW/ data/ world/ maps/ base
and from the base folder you need to delete one file map.rwm ( if it is there )

Among the features of the game in the mod itself,
1) There it is impossible to select a faction in the main company (by clicking on it), and then (having changed your mind) click on another faction. You will be thrown out of the game in Windows. If you have chosen a faction, then start playing for it (by clicking start game)
2) It is impossible to select a battle and then change your mind and switch to the campaign, or vice versa, it is impossible to switch from a company to a battle. You will be kicked out of the Windows game. (this is some kind of problem from the Rusichi original, which I have not corrected yet, but it is not critical).
3) in the game, after every few moves, make a save (just in case). If suddenly there is a failure, then load the last save of the game and continue playing.
It is advisable to make saves under different names ( for example 1 2 3 4 ... or a b c d ) so that they are all different (but this is not necessary, whatever you want)
4) For the English version, I could not completely translate the event_strings file, later I will make a patch that will completely translate all the text there into English language

Work on this Mongol Invasion 2 mod was carried out by me personally in 2010 and in 2023 -2024. It took many months of painstaking work, incredibly long work. A lot of bugs from the previous 2010 version of the mod have been fixed. Three new factions were added, and many new Mongol invasions were added. Many units have been returned to the game, and etc.
