    When I click the shortcut, all I get is a DOS prompt showing the path to the Third_Age_3 directory.

    Probably you don't have enough rights to execute a batch file and start kingdoms.exe or your antivirus software blocked execution of third_age.bat .

    I have nearly the same problem as kurtmeyer105: Every battle I want to fight (in custom battle or in the campaign) lead to an unspecified error right after the loading screen is completed. I can see the untextured battlefield for a second and then it crashes to desktop...
    I hope someone can help.

    Ok this is frustrating. I have installed many ETW and NTW mods and have done some minor modding, I have never had an issue. I am able to run 50 units per battle and all graphic settings on ultra in NTW.

    1. I have a fresh install of M2TW and Kingdoms from steam just yesterday.
    2. I ran Kingdoms from the desktop shortcut and it loaded fine.
    3. I followed the steam install instructions from this thread, installing part 1, 2 and the patch to programfiles x86-steam-steamapps-common-medieval2
    4. I changed the name of americas folder to something else and the third age folder to americas.
    5. I ran the TATW desktop short cut and I saw the ring spin and then it told me I had a fatal graphics error.
    6. I right clicked the icon and ran as administrator, the photo I've posted shows the error I recieved.
    7. The kingdoms exe is right where it is supposed to be.

    Any help?

    I don't have the Steam version of M2TW so my ability to assist is limited. But for anyone else to help it would be useful to know what the path is to the Kingdoms.exe command and the path to the location of the mod.

    Thanks for response... well the kingdoms exe is in computer>local disk(c)>program files (x86)>steam>steam apps>common>medieval II total war. Right next to the launcher exe and the m2tw exe. Kingdoms runs fine from the desktop shortcut.

    I found the answer: use the normal kingdoms shortcut then select the campaign you've renamed, in my case I used america.

    Hi,

    first I have to say this is a great mod!

    I have one small bug found, if you are the defender of minas tirith and you go outside the gate in the battle and then return your
    men back through the gate behind the walls. The gates doesn't close then.

    Also every second custom battle is crashing during loading. It's no ctd then, the screen is going black and its no further action possible.

    I hope you work on there for patch 3.2

    @Marc Byzantium

    As for gates - I'll check it out.

    TATW battles don't crash during loading, there has to be some fault on instalaltion\hardware\submods side.

    @TheAndyMan

    Who's attacking\what battle type\reinforcements involved or not\when exactly does it crash\what's the rough army composition?

    To get a good error log in case of a CTD, tou need to replace relevant section in TATW.cfg with this:

    [log]
    to = logs/system.log.txt
    level = * trace
    ;level = * error

    Then, after a CTD, you can zip it and upload it.

    Regards

    I'm also getting the same crash log as kurtmeyer105. It's occurring when I try to enter an on-field (I can still automatically resolve battles) leads to a CTD and the same error message as below.

    I currently have Baron Samedi's submod and an up-to-date 3.1 TATW installed.

    Oddly this has only occurred recently, as I've been playing the game since december. I've played gondor campaigns without this error arising but after trying a High Elf campaign the error started when I got to about turn 50. After that it occurs on every I enter a battle (whether I use the same save, older save or even a new campaign).

    Since then I've reinstalled TATW and tried a number of different combinations of the proposed fixes to no avail.

    Just wondering if from kurtmeyer105's log anything could be gleaned.

    Any help greatly appreciated as this is a fantastic mod otheriwise.

    UPDATE:

    It seems that my crash was caused by the change of Daylight Savings Time. I didn't connect the two but it explains why it occured when it did. Apparently quite a few people have experienced this issue and turning off the "automatically adjust for daylight savings" checkbox on the Windows date/time and my battles and saves games could progress again.

    (see here for more info - http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=527031 - all credit goes to brasswire)

    I'm not sure if this is an issue with windows 7 or TATW (as kingdoms/M2 were unaffected) but I think this is definately an issue that the King Kong and his team should be aware of regarding 3.1

    Hope this helps you guys, especially kurtmeyer105 TheAndyMan and Nahlor who looked to be having the same problem as me.

    Have you tried adjusting the Daylight Savings setting? The posts above will tell you how if you read through them.

    Ahh..that doesn't sound good. Normally that means the problem isn't strictly to do with TATW but might be to do with you computer or settings itself. I suggest asking on the Medieval 2 forums as well. Unfortuanly I can't be much help but maybe some mods might give an insight fif you post a crash log.

    I am getting CTD's when AI armies flood the battlefield and tons of units are in play. My computer should have no issue and it never lags, it just crashes out.

    I've tried to run it as administrator, but have steam and no shortcuts work besides launching it normally through the interface. How can I do this?

    Thanks.
