Use the Tweak editor of Warband and add some top-tiers to the lord's armies, see if you can keep up the ass kicking

Then you're good. Whenever I conquer a castle they swarm the place with hundreds of men.
But generally yes, when you've reached a large party size filled with high tier units there are no single enemy parties that can beat you.

Increase the damage to normal and use Battle sizer and put it 1000 and come and post again.

i got battle size to 400, damage is always on normal. still i beat not just a single lord or two but destroy the entire army groups all by myself. thats what i do while my lords concentrate on capturing places with little to no opposition in form of relieve force.
given that the terrain is more or less flat i dont even need to participate in battle. mamluks, knights do all the job. pretty awesome actually, but yeah, there is hardly any challenge left.

yep, i was thinking of starting a new game (once next patch's been released) and being a foot soldier joining the Nords

I will repeat it, modify the parties with the TweakM&B add top tier units to the lord's, carvans and bandits.

Then see if things are so 'easy'

Did what you said played through another seige at Halmar (big city) and it was 1200 saranids vs. 1100 Khegits (Never seen that before) and we duked it out and I ended up with scores of kills and only a little bit of health gone minus a horse. I'm not saying the game is not fun because I play it whenever I get the chance. I'm just saying that at some point it can get rather easy.

yeah sounds like a perfectionist, I'd recommend moving on to hardcore mods if there are any for wb yet, if not implement some tweaks.

And the only thing sucky to me about being a foot soldier is watching those routers get away

Use max difficulty and pick on large factions. And don't save-reload if you loose. I guarantee you will loose a lot

Thank you this was finally what I needed. Its a lot harder now because every time I raid or loot a couple armies of 150 come out of the woodworks.

As to everyone else, I'm sorry I find this game easy and it is difficult for you. Don't get all mad its just an extremely fun/easy video game.

I have 2 armies, one I keep in a city, 1 for whne I want a challenge, mostly made up of lower tier stuff, I have to do most of the mashing myself with this one, another which is 300+ hevay cav, when that rolls out it crushes anything in one charge, so I tend to use the 1st one for challenge, and the 2nd one if I really need to win a fight or get really pissed off at soemthing...

try being a footman supported by mostly an infantry based army. while it isnt quite as easy you do get a lot of fun whacking everyone out with a massive axe. loving it
