Well actually, you didn't send any orders in for that and that Anglo-Dutch pact won't make the Boers (who have been independent for over 50 years) roll over for you or the Dutch...

That was how wars were (supposed to be) fought at the time - with massed attacks, using Napoleonic tactics and operating with a Napoleonic mindset. Your general sees that he just wtfpwned the Russians, inflicting over 100k casualties on them while they barely even reached his own lines - of course he'll pursue them, he does't know any better as he hadn't learned the nature of modern warfare yet.

Speaking of which, it's why the Russians lost so many men in their initial offensive. Brusilov, being a brilliant commander, learned very quickly from his mistakes - as you can see from the East Prussian campaign.

I did tell you to send in military orders...

Also, the Dutch don't even have a border with them lol, so there's no rea threat from them so far (until USC_Trojans actually sends in soldiers) - that and the Boers (having been independent for ~50 years) feel no real loyalty to the Dutch state.
