    Default Historically Inaccurate Sweden Mod

This mod is based on Meneros' Sweden retexture mod which you can find here >> http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=339315
I am also using a modified version of Swiss Halberdier's UPC mod v2.3 >> http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=338582
To be able to use this mod properly you will need Husser1TW's NTF mod to make Sweden playable. >> http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=357320
Thanks to all of the above and especially to Meneros for allowing me to use his mod as a base.

This mod adds 8 new units to the sweden faction as well as 7 AOR units recruitable in various regions.

    Sweden faction
    - Light Foot
    - Swedish Volunteer Infantry (basically poor quality line infantry with a low price tag)
    - 1 more Line Infantry version (for some variation. Just looks different, same stats as ordinary line.)
    - Fusiliers (Not elite but better then Line infantry. Good shots.)
    - Grenadiers
    - Life Grenadiers
    - Light Dragoons
    - Cuirassiers

    AOR
    - Norwegian Ski Troops (Norway)
    - Polish Foot (Poland)
    - Polish Lancers (Poland)
    - Swiss Foot (Switzerland)
    - Swiss Heavy Dragoons (Switzerland)
    - French Royalist Line (France)
    - Hungarian Line (Hungary)

    Issues
There are no unique unit cards yet. I used what was allready in the game so some of them work pretty well and others are way off. In other words, the units in game will not allways look like they do on their unit cards allthough i have tried to make them match as closely as possible.

I had to use the regions that were allready defined to make aor units since the only way i know of creating new regions involves editing the startpos.esf and that would make it incompatible with the NTF mod that is needed to play as sweden. I would have loved to have some danish and finish units but alas..
The mod has not been fully play tested so let me know if you ancounter anything strange such as exploding cpu's, smoking hard drives or if your computer suddenly starts leaking melted cheese.

I have started work on a more historically accurate sweden mod, featuring different regiments in swedish service during this period. This mod will, if all works out, have its own startpos.esf and AOR regiments from Finland (and possibly Norway and Denmark, allthough i will have to use my imagination on those since i dont think there were any norwegian or danish units in swedish service.)

However i am having trouble finding enough decent source material so any help on that would be apreciated. Especially good pictures of cavalry uniforms would help a lot.
Regiments i have finished so far are..

    - Jämtlands Regemente
    - Nylands Regemente
    - Närke Värmlands Regemente
    - Södermanlands Regemente
    - Hälsinge Regimente
    - Österbottens regimente
    - Bohusläns Regimente
    - Västerbottens Regimente
    - Dalregimentet
    - Jönköpings Regimente

Quite a few more are planned. If you have any requests let me know (and preferably hook me up with some kind of source material).

I would love to see Kronobergs regiment as i have atleast two ancestors that fought with them during the war against Russia 1808-1909.

In short the regiment participated the unsuccessful landings and following campaign around Helsinge and Järvenperä 1808 where they fought valiantly (one of the few units that did) but suffered quite heavy casualties. Read more here:

    http://www.napoleon-series.org/milit..._finnish1.html

The regiment also fought in the battles of Sävar and Ratar 1809.

oh and the uniforms from that good page someone linked to in another thread (http://www.swordandsabre.com/serv02.htm )

    Way ahead of you there

From that pick you posted i can see i need to remove the white edges on the plastrons and cuffs. I will have that fixed before release. It is also possible i will try to add the white belt with the yellow buckle to all foot regiments since they were obviously common.
Thanks for the link. That will be VERY useful!

    Edit:
You wouldnt happen to know how kronobergs regemente was put together? I mean did they have light or/and grenadier companies?
I have been trying to find information on swedish light infantry but all i can find are jaeger regiments/corps. As for grenadiers the only ones i have found are Livgardets grenadier corps, but surely there must have been a few others?

    cheers
