"phonicia(if it is in this time frame)"

It isn't. If you can split the levantine city states into various minor factions.

I like the idea, but I'm not so sure about the title. The main reason for this, since generally "Antiquity" refers to basically the whole of the pre-middle age period, particuarly the classical (i.e. Greek and Roman) periods, so I wonder if it's not totally apt in describing the mod. That said...it is only a title.

Over all though, it's a nice (and barely touched upon) period to set a mod/game, good luck with it

This sounds like a very interesting mod!, maybe for a name, to make it more unique becasue there are so many mods with the ending of Total War, why not leave it out and just call it The Ancients Mod or something else like EB's name or AoH,

Well, if you're using BI, the religious system (there was a thread earlier on this sub-forum, where someone had worked out how to mod religion, and religious buildings etc.), and the emergent factions could be really great for this mod.

This look interesting. Your idea is very good. I hope you continue with this mod.

You can ask permission from Troy Total war creators to use their Minoan and Micenean models and skins.

Interesting time period, I was just thinking the other day that it deserved a RTW mod. I was thinking more in the lines of "Biblic Total War", with Babylon and Egypt being the main powers, some jewish hordes running around, etc.

Wish you all the best luck in your modding venture.
    believe in nothing.

Well, you may stumble across a problem that we had in Troy Total War - almost nothing is known in detail about these Bronze Age armies. We only had the problem on a small scale, so we were able to surmount it, but I think that this mod really will suffer from lack of evidence.

the garrison troops, called the ‘w’yt, sometimes served as the pharaoh’s household troops both in Egypt and in foreign landssome men chose the army as their profession. The Ramesside Period saw many upper class Egyptian men become military officials, and these men received promotions and wealth quickly. Officers were always chosen from among the career army men. But there were other inducements to choosing the army as a profession – booty collected during a military campaign was distributed among these professionals, and the king also gave land to these men with the added incentive that their sons could inherit the land if they also served in the army

these are the pharohs axe men
their well made axes can cut through anything but the pharohs own armor
they are also staitioned on the borders due to the armies reroums by the Edict of Horemheb at the end of the 18th Dynasty, during peacetime the army was split into an Upper Egyptian corps and a Lower Egyptian corps, and each was led by a lieutenant commander. In this capacity, the two armies covered several arenas: the were stationed at frontier forts, escorted royal processions, intervened in riots, and possibly even served as unskilled building labor.

The army that was raised in times of need, i.e., during civil unrest, consisted of conscripts, who were generally peasants and artisans, led by noblemen

armed with a simple shield and a spear, these men knew more on how to survive, not to fight.

Mercenaries were still important in the professional army of the New Kingdom. The number of foreigners including Medjay, Sheriden, and Libyans in the Egyptian army was so high that captains were specially designated to be in charge of them. By the latter part of the New Kingdom, these foreign mercenaries formed the majority of the army. It is interesting that by the 19th Dynasty, foreign mercenaries came from so many different places that at times, they fought in battles against members of their own former tribes. In fact, descendants of Libyan mercenaries actually became rulers of Egypt’s 22nd and 23rd Dynasties

these are sheridan mercinary bowmen. they are armed with a very well made bow, leather armor, and a stabbing sword

so what do you think of these please keep in mind that these are very wips ok?

I can't comment on the accuracy, but they look quite good to me. The one thing I dislike is the pattern and colors on the skirt thingy the archers have. Good work though

As I'm a lover of Antiquity, I'd like to ask if this mod is dead... I haven't seen any posts on its Imperium forum and I don't know what's happening. Guys, I hope it's NOT dead!!!
