Is there a way to play the Italian campaign without the emergent factions threre?

Anyone else having problem loading the game with the mod? Mod comes up, I hit play Europe campagin, it loads, and then nothing.

Any suggestions how to remedy it?

Aside that it is almost impossible to get other mods online, right now, i've tried many times trying to change variables on my end to make it work, but as above, i click to start europe campaign, it starts, then in the blink of an eye returns to desktop.

Anyone with this trouble as well as a way to fix?

It is broken, and there's no maintenance apparently. Too bad.

I cannot launch it from the launcher. Sometimes it works when I launch it from the main game. It turns out to be impossible to play some factions, like Portugal in the Peninsular Campaign. Far too bad.
