Default ENBseries configurated for Napoleon: Total War

    Hello Everybody,

I managed to get the populair graphics overhaul program ENBseries bij Boris Vorontsov to work in NTW. Sadly only the color correction feature works. But it can still greatly improve the atmosphere in the game.

You can make your own palettes by using the 3dsmax scene Boris made and is included on the bottom of this post. Notice that the palette images must be a .bmp file with 24 bit depth.

    Pallette File

    ENBseries (configured for NTW)
    - Download -

Scene for making your own palette (3D Studio MAX 8):
    - Download -

Place the files in the same folder as napoleon.exe is. Once ingame press SHIFT+F12 to activate color correction.

Again, all credits go to the creater of this program

Interesting... So do we turn OFF HDR in game or turn HDR ON?
Also do one just download ENBseries (configured for NTW) and place it into te root NTW folder?

The ingame settings don't really matter. And you have to place the files into the root folder yes.

Cheers mate for such a great mod.
Question about instalation...I downloaded ENBseries file and Pallette File. Now i need to put them in NTW root folder right...for this mod to work that is all right? no need to press some button before the game starts or so?...couse I read READ ME file mentioning GTA and how you need to activate mod.
Thanks in advance and take care

Nice, i remember trying to get enb to work with empire with no success, i suppose that was because everything else was activated as well as colour correction. Dling now

I forgot to tell you that in-game you have to press SHIFT+F12 to activate the mod.

When I use this All the particle effects dissappear... Is it beacause I've turned on some of the effects in the ENB instead of just ther colour?

Yes, you are probably correct and i would agree with you! ONLY that you did not even give us members any instructions on installation or on how to use this program on your thread i would say i am probably human and in every right to say "What the hell does this mod do??"
Even after downloading the mod it is still not user friendly and all this press this button and that button is just too much effort for my "Northern" human brain to take in!!!!! enough said

It was all too straight forward for me. I experiment with this program for like 3 years already.

Yeah ok, so think I will just give this one a miss!!! its too complicated for my brain cells to work out as i stated earlier.
Make me a mod that I can place in data folder that does this all for me without all the faff of pressing buttons and I may then consider, in meantime good luck with the mod

Too complicated? All you have to do is place it in the folder above your data folder, the napoleon installation folder, and once in-game you use the key combination SHIFT+F12, how hard can that be.

    @ ToonTotalWar

Maybe you have too many palettes? I only put these files in the Napoleon folder (same folder as .exe): d3d9.dll, enbpalette.bmp, and enbseries.ini. I didn't even bother downloading Stefan's third link in his OP.

I have to say, this new, richer color palette makes NTW look like a completely different game. It's like I'm watching a movie, or a high-def oil painting, or something. Looks VERY nice.
Let me persuade you with my powerful logic skills.

In light of the Total War series, a quote from the theologian whom I respect the most:

The Heavenly City outshines Rome, beyond comparison. There, instead of victory, is truth; instead of high rank, holiness.
    St. Augustine, Bishop of Hippo
