    Default A multitude of Poems

Here is just a collection of poems I've written across the years. Most of them are more recent. Any comments are welcome!

    Voice

    Today
    We reconcile.
    Today
    We justify.
    Today
    We speak.
    Today
    Our voice is heard!
    We are the people
And we will not be oppressed!
We will not be the product of politicians wills!
    Our unity
    Our freedom
    Will light the way!
    They may have our votes,
But they do not have our Voice!

    ***********************************

    I Will Not!

    I look upon the people
    And can justify our wills.
Our way of life is unmatched.
    We march forth
    Onto the battle field
    Thou cannot cease to imagine
The blood that shall be spelt today.
    What a beautiful day...
    But soon;
It will be immersed in blood.
I shall not set my eyes upon it
I shall not feel the feel of it.
I will not smell the smell of it.
I will not cease to imagine
How many widows were created that day.

    *************************************
    Money

    What is, Money exactly?
An item that measures weather someone is homeless, or rich?
Is it to make our lives easier?
    Money is there,
    To determine
    Who strives, and who thrives.
Why isn't it that we can just have the same things?
Without money, there would be no poverty
Without money, there would be no homelessness.
Without money, this world would be a much better place.
So why do we have money?
To determine who strives, and who thrives.

    ***********************************************
    We the People

    They lie to us
    They keep us
    They tell us
    They know us.
    Or do they?
    They take from us
    They hear us.
    But they don't listen.
They all care about is what we give them
We the people, of the United States of America.
With liberty, and justice for all.
But, can this even be considered justice?
We are the puppets, and they are the puppeteers.
Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you should do for your country.

    **************************************************

    Fly

    I want to fly
    Fly high in the sky
    To see all around me
    To know, what is there
To see, what I cannot see.
To feel, what I cannot feel.
To hear, things I cannot hear.
To believe, things, I can't believe.
    I want to be free
    I want to believe
    I want to feel
    I want to see
    I want to hear
    I want to justify.

    *******************************

    Condolence

    These things I bear
    these thoughts I must think
    These memories I must hold
    These ideas, I cannot think.
    This person, within my soul.
    This emptiness
    This exertion
    This 'condolence'.

    *******************************

    Deceiver

    All in, none out.
    What is behind the lies?
What secrets are behind the rules?
    What lies behind the walls?
    What is the purpose?
    The purpose of everything?
What is the meaning of life?
What is out there they don't want me to see?
What is it, that they must seal from me?
What doors do they wish me not to open?
What words do they wish me not to hear?
What ideas do they not want me to think?
Why must I think certain thoughts,
    and not others?
    Why not of flying?
    Why not of listening?
    What not of knowing?
    I want to know.
    I want to learn.
    I want to hear.
    I want to think.
    They can't deceive.
    They can't hide.
    They can't protect.
They can't make me not hear.
They cannot keep me from thinking my thoughts.
    Knowing is a gift.
    Lying is a virtue.

    ***********************************

    People, I am.

    I am I.
    And you are you.
    He is he.
    And she is she.
    We cannot try to differ
    One from themselves,
    So why not accept it.
    The people we know
    And the people we see
    They are them.
    And we are we.
    I am I,
    And you are,
    You.

    ****************************

Another (This happens to be my favorite)

    The dawn awakes me,
    To another day,
    Another problem,
    Another fate,
    Another time,
    Another place,
Another person, rubbing something in my face.
    Another word,
    Another thought.
    Another thing, which I cannot.
Another virtue, which I do not posses.
    Another secret, which others kept.
    Another person, solving something,
Another mean, which others do not.
    Another place, for no time,
Another thing, that drives me mad.
    But because of those things,
    I become strong.
    I learn to fight.
    I learn to solve.
    I learn to keep,
    I learn to tell.
I learn the secrets, which others should not tell.
I learn the lies, that roam the halls.
    I learn to choose,
    The right path-For me.

    Any comments/criticizm is welcome!

ahhahaha, yeah. It took my Language Arts teacher giving us a poem assignment to get me back into writing them. Ever since I've loved poetry. Not that I didn't before, it just kinda re lit that fuse. My favorite poet is either William Shakespear, or Edgar Allan Poe.

But, if you ever post them, I'd love to see 'em!
