That would be like attempting a flight to the moon when you just conceived of the idea of a jet engine

No thing is everything. Every thing is nothing.

This is great work you are doing for the community though guys. If new ETW maps can be made (that is, of course, a very big if) then the modding potential of ETW will surely increase tenfold. This thread could very well represent the future of TW modding.

    Indeed.

I wish you could replace the map with a bigger one. meaning starting from scratch. maybe you could change the appearence of the map from one season to another. place for more cities. like france and spain could have more than one major city. 5 at least.

yes that would be very good... but if you want to have 5 major cities in france you can play NTW. but thats only with a european map.... so it would be very good if you mod a bigger map with china and others.

Spain: Spain, Catalonia, Galicia or something?. And maybe Canaries?
    Great Britain should have Whales.
Like every major +1 region the least.

if you want to have it more historical it have to be i think it was 27 parts that result to france... the same in england...... so i think the map of france in ETW is ok, but there should be some extra regions added.

Well, i doubt that the Campaign Map will be cracked before the interest in Empire and Napoleon decreased too much (because of the release of shogun, for example) and so i doubt a little that there will be ever done any improvements or changes to the campaign map.
But the reserach could be handy for the Shogun2 Map.

if something could be done with the ETW map, that would certainly bring people back to it, especially considering there will likely be so little modding potential in STW by comparison.

Unless shogun has a similar development in game's files... In this case do not expect to see anything from CA...

On the other and if there is at least a drop of modding dignity in us, we should turn our back when these tools (if ever) will be released!

Do NOT expect anything from CA, they will not give you any modding support, you're on your own
good luck on finding how to make new regions

me too. because that would be also historical correct. japan was in the 18th century a known part of the world, also china or southafrica.
