    well, only the MAARC entrants get to vote, and each person gets 3 votes...so if I read that correctly then, all but 2 people have voted - 36 votes. I think that's right?

    I think it is actually more fair this way...the other AAR writers in the competition are the best judges I think, and can recognize quality. I think it also helps preserve the integrity of the voting. If you can believe it, there are actually a few people around TWC who are so desperate to win, they get their friends to vote for them in other competitions for anything they enter (regardless of quality). Quite pathetic really. Anyways, I like the way this MAARC is set up...you'll find that by keeping it "within the AAR family", the cream really does rise to the top, its pretty legit, and not a popularity contest.

    I can understand concerns about it becoming a popularity contest, but I have voted and am not an entrant. Hence the clickable 'go and vote' officially endorsed sig I carry around.

    I see there is some concern on the voting process. The MAARC has and will always stay a community competition. Every one who visits the AAR forum is allowed to vote on the AAR he likes.

    Your not allowed to recruit votes for you AAR, so asking for people to vote for your AAR will result in an expel of the competition and a 3 month ban from the AAR forums.

    You are allowed to advertise the voting thread in the way Cellus is doing as long as your not promoting some one's AAR/name.

    If you have concerns on some one cheating the competition feel free to report this to me in a PM and i will start an investigation on this matter. If you have other questions feel free to PM me or leave me a message on my profile page.

    Thanks Hesus for clarifying, and my bad for posting incorrect info...my wife tells me I'm handsome, but not always too bright . As for cheating, well the AAR crowd and visitors are a very honourable bunch of folk, and pull for each other more than compete, so I can't imagine anything untowards ever happening in this area.

    Skantarios by a landslide!!! An epic win for an epic piece!! Very deserving...and a very nice bloke too. A great field of AARs this time, great voter turn-out, and a worthy champion...this MAARC was a huge success IMHO...kudos to Hesus!
