Ladies and Gentlemen, Generals and Privates, I present to you, the second release of

BEALE'S BRIGADES - LA GRANDE ARMEE

In this release of Beale's Brigades (Beale is pronounced as "B-eel" for those wondering, it is my last name!) I focus on correcting French uniforms. I have given the main infantry and artillery units great coats, new textures, and thank Lord Mongsworthy, as I used his textures as a base for this DLC from Napoleon Order of War, if that is what this may be.

Well, instead of waiting around spending time reading, I'll show you what has been done.

Beale's Brigades, v2 - The Grand Armee in Pictures

First off we have the Carabiniers, slightly changed from Lord Mongsworth's one. Next we have our great French fusiliers with there stunning Greatcoats and various trousers And now we have our Grenadiers of the Line, and secondly the Young Guard! Which both have the proper helmets, with the proper plates and tricolour cockades. Next we have our Voliteurs and Artillery And finnally the Grand, majestic, Old Guard, with correct bearskin plate and silver tassles. Plus the greatcoats!

All this and more will be found in Napoleon Order of War, as you can see the flags and awesome UI, that is not included in this, but in Napoleon Order of War.

Installtion
1. Extract with WinRaR, place Beales_Brigades_v2_Grand_Armee.pack in your data folder (Usually found at ...Steam/steamapps/common/napoleontotalwar/data).

2. Place the 'user.script' text file into; AppData/Roaming/The Creative Assembly/Napoleon/scripts
If you already have a user.script, then just copy this: mod Beales_Brigades_v2_Grand_Armee.pack;
and place it in your user.script

3.Or just use the Mod Manager instead of step 1 and 2

Simple, most of you already know how to do this.

PLEASE ALSO INSTALL THIS PATCH AFTER YOU HAVE INSTALLED THE MAIN MOD, JUST PLACE IN DATA FOLDER!

I gotta admit, Beale, the greatcoats added to the units make them look alot nicer, I like them alot better than the actual French uniforms. Hell, greatcoats look good on everything.

Yer, you can use it ontop, it won't be released with NOW until the next full release of NOW, so you'll have to wait, but feel free to use it now, it should work fine with the current NOW Beta v3!

awesome! I have to say Marshal, doing your vid was a real treat because I had never tried your mod before, and the textures alone make it difficult to use anything else now...its such a beautiful mix of colours.

Yes it will and is only compatible with my mod if you place at top of user script

Looks awesome! Great to use Lord Mongsworth's textures as a base as they are simply stunning. Loving your combined mod.

Still no "late" version so we get only shakos instead of shako/bicorne mix?

Edit: By the way, what about the Prussians and Russians from your last mod? Do I leave your old mod in so they still get greatcoats? Or will that cause conflicts?

Edit 2: I've spotted a bug. On Chasseurs a Cheval the top of the shako is partially see-through and some of the textures are drawn on top of it. Also, the officer seems to have bright green trousers which are the same colour as the musician while the musician has the dull gray trousers of the rank-and-file.

Edit 3: Just had a battle in really bad weather and my French line infantry was see-through too! Just a bunch of floating muskets! Anyone else encountered this?

Just an observation ,old guard grenadiers and chasseurs used a dark blue greatcoat ,not grey.

Well there isn't enough room to add more than one great coat

Beta 3 is already out, like a week ago, and secondly, this isn't included in Beta v3, but in the release!

Marshal Beale, i like it, especially the grey coats in different with normal uniform wear..
.. a touch from Napoleons Russian Crusade..

Now i have one question..
it disturb me very very much, when i sieged a city and in follows many "citizen of arms" attack me..
And all the CoA wear only white Uniforms or red Uniforms, they dont wear clothes like this century..
Is it able to mod that all! CoA wear this grey coats? At the moment, it gives no Mod where reskin/retexture CoA.

It was a great Improvement if you can make this!

Accually, great idea, I will try and edit the militia, if I can find the file. I might put that as part of NOW, and as a seperate mod!
