Thread: Roman infantry recruitment

  1. #1

    Default Roman infantry recruitment

There are 3 Scoutatoi units: Scoutatoi, Scoutatoi Swordsman and Skoutatoi(the vanilla "Byzantine infantry" unit). Recruitable (for the Rman/Byzantine Empire) are Skoutatoi in Royal Barracks and Coutatoi in noble Barracks.
    My questions are:
    1. Why is the Skoutatoi unit ingame (there are two sword variations ingame but only the vanilla one is recruitable)
    2. Why can't I recruit the Scoutatoi swordsmanen unit as Rome?

There are 3 Scoutatoi units because I used the names from several mods. I didn't realise I had given the same name to 2 units.

Which campaign are you playing as Scoutatoi Swordsmen should be available from the Garrison Quarters?

I just checked out this campaign. The Scoutatoi Swordsmen are a castle only unit that can only be recruited in the Greek part of the Balkans and Cyprus. At the start of the 970 campaign they can only be recruited in Corinth and Limassol because these are the only Greek Castles.
