I have the same error as XFat and LazyX and Patricius, namely
EDIT: This may be due to one of the downloads being corrupt. Supposedly the links at http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=415206 work. Trying now.IB2 - Version 1.2 has not been totally installed because of the following reason:
File corrupt or unreadable:
mods\IB2\data\ui\northern_european\eventpics\UNUSED\CAMPAIGN_DEFEAT.TGA
You will have to run this utility again to completely install IB2 - Version 1.2.

I have a question, here recently i was fighting a battle against the Visigoths and i noticed that just about all of their melee infantry has the skirmish ability. was this intentional?
Oh, and why aren't the Ostrogoths playable in the campaign?

The Ostroghoti are an emergent faction, at the begining of the mod they are vassals to the Hunni, wait until they rebel and unleash their army on the western world.

Burgundians at least, have the ability to recruit boats with no dock. This means you would never see the unit on the campaign map.

I installed the executable (IB2 AFRICA VANDALORVM 2) after these series :
IB2 - Vandals Version 1.2 Full
IB2 - Vandals Version 1.2 Full.D01
IB2 - Vandals Version 1.2 Full.D02
IB2 - Vandals Patch 1.2.01
But now, whenever I start to open the game, the beginning picture is displayed, then it is crashing to desktop.
Where am I doing wrong? What should I do?

What happens if you do not install the patch?

First of all thank you for a brilliant series!
Had a problem with campaign battles in Africa giving a CTD. Checked the attached error log and looked like a missing mesh file.
Made a copy of : data/unit_models/_Units/Romans/Roman_leg_palatina_rnd_shield_ug1_lod0.mesh
Renamed to : data/unit_models/_Units/Romans/Roman_leg_palatina_rnd_shield_ug2_lod0.mesh
No more CTD's.

Possible reason as per log: data/unit_models/_Units/Romans/Roman_leg_palatina_rnd_shield_ug2_lod0.mesh is missing

Thank you so much for your warm welcome and comments.
I am truly amazed at the innovations and development that has been made on the configurable side of the battle engine making this mod, not to mention the units which have been produce by really talented individuals, so much closer to what the Total War experience should be for the decline of the roman empire period.

Equites Catafractarii in battle mode doesn't have a shield, just thought I would let you know, great model!.
