    Incidentally, there are two more roman units that are related to the legions but we forgot to preview them. Anyone want to take a guess at what they might be? And no, they aren't a generic legion, or any other named and numbered unit. They're also NOT Urban cohorts. Any takers?

    Perhaps some siege units? (also is it possible to get the preview on a pdf. file? It takes ages for me to load any pictures, and even when it stops not all are loaded... I can't even see the Praetorians!!!!! Buhuhu )

    The Hastati, Principes and Triarii didn't exist at this time. Only in name, but the legions were uniformly equipped. They were previewed in the last Roman preview

    We don't even have Hastati and Principes in our mod - we have Polybian Cohorts instead. In case it wasn't clear, the units must be post-Marian to qualify. and no, not siege weapons. Though, now that you mention it...

    Urban Militia

    No but seriously, legionary cavalry? Or Roman heavy cavalry of some sort - not auxiliaries.

    Why only less than half wear plate armour? I though Romans were equipped in a standard fashion?

    Antesignani
    Their main equippement was of the same fashion, however Legions changed through time, and also the area in which they were levied;

    Yeah, based on EB i would agree with Antisegnani
