As you can see, this is one picture, but on two seperate pages of a book. ( and in any case many pictures like this won't fit entirely on a scanner. I want to , " glue the two halves back together. "
Does anyone know of a tutorial, maybe a youtube tutorial, specifically on how to do this ?

-Paste one of the pictures into a new document.
-Go to image>canvas size, and double the width.
-Then paste in the other image. And place it so it's located properly.
-You'll still have that line in the middle but that's easily fixed. Take your eraser tool and select one of the fuzzy circle brushes. Carefully delete the part.
    -Check if everything fits properly.
-Then take a look if you got your whole canvas covered. If not go back to Image>Canvas size, and adjust it to fit your picture.
Hope this helps (might have messed up on the menu's as I'm doing this all out of my head atm)
