    Righto, cheers for the response mate...

    I've never played through the RTI scenario (which I assume your late campaign is based upon in some way) so never knew about the hard-coding of the war.

    Hello, I registered to ask you about this mainly becuase your mods are excellent. I have the same problem with the error that pops up during installation. I followed what you said to fix it other than using PFM and nothing. I want to try the PFM solution but I am not sure how. I installed PFM and I believe it is running correctly so I'm at a loss :/

    What is your OS? If it is Vista try to install it as an administrator.

    Im running empire on XP
    everything went smooth with the installation but after i tick it (the etf mod) in the Mod manager it shows that it has 1 conflict ( specifically pack file patch2 ) path shows that there is a conflict in " frontend ui/grand_campaign_scripts/grand_campaign.luac)
    everything runs ok in game with all factions (naval and land battles) but as soon as i press end turn the game crashes, doesnt matter which faction im playing the old or the unlocked ones, all crash... i dont know what is the problem, if i untick the mod or delete scripts, then game runs ok , but unlocked factions go away too..

    i really want to play as courland so any help would be appreciated.... thanks..

    Conflict is ok. Try this: delete all save games from your save folder (keep a copy if you want to keep them) and live it empty. Your saves are in C:\Documents and Settings\[User Name]\Application Data\The Creative Assembly\Empire\save_games\.

    ok.. i deleted the save files, turned the mod on but still game crashes as soon as i press end turn...

    as much as i remember things like that used to happen when people modified the startpos.esf file when the game came out... i havent done anything but i dont know what to do.. i really want to play as courland)

    Try the mp version. There you have to activate NTF_mp.pack.

    Again I've noticed that when I use this, Portugal becomes an Absolute Monarchy in the Late Campaign. I have no problem with that because it's historical, but can you do the same with Early Campaign?

    It is an easy modification to make it. You have to make 2 changes: one in FACTION\GOVERNMENT that is usually forgotten and causes CTD and the second in GOV_IMP. That's all.

    it is the first one I mention in my post and the image shows, which usually is forgotten and causes CTD.

    That is is Absolute Monarchy as you can see in National Summary tab in an early campaign (1700 AD).
