Is it possible to play this with Darth Empire Commander? Does it cause any conflict in startpos or something?

Cassius: "Our men at arms have secured the city. We've received representatives from all the best elements. The senate is with us, the knights are with us."
Brutus:"The pontifs, the urban cohorts, the lictors guild..."
Antony: "Oh, the lictors guild, very good. Only rally the bakers and the flute players and you can put on a festival."

I'm playing with Darthmod Empire Commander which has no script editor. That's why I am asking. Thanks

First of all, I had to say you guys create an awsome modbut when I tried to play late campaign I just see loading page and game couldn't start. I didn't encounter the same problem with early campaign, everything works in there. If anyone can help me, I will really appreciated

Ok I just fixed the problem. Appereantly, it was because I changed the compability to winxp fir ETF.exe.( I am a windows 7 user) Whrn I chnaged it normal it workedThanks again for this awesome mod.
Okay, now I have a problem:
I played a custom battle (as in, not a battle on the campaign map) in Late Campaign, and now when I try to run the early campaign I get an error message saying...
"An Error Occurred: The following file does not exist: Autoplay\\Docs\\1.exe"
The Late Campaign does work, however, and all of the emergent factions still work as well. Is there any way I can fix this without having to uninstall and reinstall all over again?

It is not clear if Late Campaign works for you (and the emergent factions) or you mean that custom battles do. I have to say that custom battles has nothing to do with campaigns or mods. It is an independent game mode (do not confuse the use of Late era units in custom battle menu with Late campaign).
If you get a message like this it looks like you ave installed mod in a wrong path. Check if there is ...\napoleon total war\data_ETF\ folder and if yes, go further in ...\data_ETF\AutoPlay\Docs\ to see if 1.exe is indeed missing.
No no, I played the Late Campaign and did a battle with Late Era units. Now the Early Era campaign doesn't work. I'm positive I have the game installed in the right directory because it always worked before now.
This is also not the first time this has happened. Last time I manage to fix it by uninstalling the mod and the game and then reinstalling everything all over again. I'd really rather not do that again, if possible.

First, as a newbee I'd like to say thanks for all of your work. I just installed the mod, and got a late campaign working just fine. When I tried to start the early campaign mod, I got the following error: The following file does not exist: Autoplay\\Docs\\1.exe
Under the path steam\steamapps\common\empire total war\data_etf\autoplay\docs I have files 2.exe through 14.exe but no 1.exe
When I installed the mod, my McAfee virus protection told me that at least one file was deleted as a Trojan. McAfee said the trojan was Artemis!A08EB8346E3C. I just did a quick google search on Artemis virus and found that in the past this has been a McAfee false positive problem, but I don't know for sure if this is the case.
Any chance you could place the 1.exe file as a separate upload that I could test?
Also, when I close the main mod window, the mod closes but I also get the error: Windows cannot find 'disable_script.exe'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, etc.--I wonder if this is another file that got deleted by McAfee.
Again, thanks for all your work. I am enjoying the late campaign I got going![]()
Hmm... Probably... Here are the files attached. You already know where 1.exe is placed. Disable_script.exe should be placed in ...\empire total war\data\ETF_mod\.
Thanks for the quick reply and the files. I downloaded them, and I unzipped them one at a time. Each one was deleted by McAfee as soon as I unzipped them, and each one game me the Artemis trojan warning.
Do you mind if I forward them to McAfee support? As I stated earlier, it may be a false positive.
I do have a couple of gameplay questions. I started a late campaign as U.S., and noticed that a number of the ports do not have buildings. First, will these ports become available as the game moves on and population grows? Did you take them out for balance purposes?
Again, thanks for your help.
You can forward files to McAfee, it would be interesting, though my files are clean. They are simple scripts that mess only with game's files.
Late campaign is in vanilla status, ports are emerging later in game. But if you are in a hurry look here.
Okay, I managed to fix the issue with the error message, and both the Early and Late campaigns are now working. However, I've also determined that it's not the 1.exe file that McAfee is deleting: McAfee, for some reason, is detecting the disablescript file as a trojan, and disabling it automatically. There has to be some way to stop it from happening, but I haven't figured it out yet.

Geat mod............but I was originally playing with the 'Realistic flag' mod and would still like to do so. How do I get the flag mod to work with ETF, given that ETF has to be launched from its own launcher and doessn't show up in the Mod Manager 1.5???
Look in in your antuvirus program for files exceptions, or adjust it to ask you before take action and do not delete automatically.
You have to edit user.empire_script.txt manually and add the mods command you like before starting ETF. If you do not know how, start a vanilla game and your favorite mods with Mod Manager but not ETF (Mod Manager will add the mod commands in script). When in game menu exit and start ETF. You'll need to do this only once, unless you want to add or remove one of the other mods. In that case repeat to update the script properly.

This mod is awesomeSeems to be working very well, just started a game as the 13 colonies.
But I'm so MAD!
When i downloaded the file and installed it Norton Internet Security isolated, deleted and labeled disable_scripts.exe as a Trojan virus. I figured maybe a virus tagged along with the download from fileshack or whatever. No biggie, my antivirus caught it. yayyyy! Played for a few hours, then upon closing the UI for Total Factions I learned that disable_scripts.exe must be a legit file for returning the modded files back to there original state......So i removed the two files in the folder data/campaigns/main and verified files with steam to get the originals back. Hopefully this is all i need to do to get around this outrage!!
has anyone heard of this crap happening before or know of any way i can fix it??? also.....
Is scripting.lua and startpos.esf the only files altered by this mod or do i need to remove other files also before validating files with steam to return my files to vanilla???
edit* guess thats not all because upon trying to start ETW vanilla "Empire Total War has stopped working" "Windows is checking for a solution to the problem"
Thats reassuring. . . . .this is still an awesome mod by the way, despite the problems I'm having.. HELP!!!

ok.... should have read two posts up! Sorry![]()
My antivirus (Microsoft Security Essentials) says it detected a Trojan while installing this program. What gives? I removed it but haven't tried running the game yet.
I saw someone else in this post was using Macafee and had the same issue. There must be a Trojan virus in one of the download links or something??
I removed it because I don't want a Trojan on my computer.
It is false alarm, there is no Trojan. Some files are set to make changes in user.empire_script.txt so the mod is loaded automatically and at the end they restore it back. Your anti-virus thinks that it is suspicious behavior and blocks it but this is false. It is your anti-virus fault or the way you've adjusted it. For more than 2.000 downloads there are only 2 reports, yours and the other you've mentioned. We are here to have fun not to spread malware...
