Hey guys, I have a quick question. It may have been answered somewhere in the other 60-odd pages, but I can't find it.

Is there any option to extend the campaign time limit by adding more turns per year? Darthmod has a 2-turn per year campaign as well as a 4-turn and 6-turn (I think it's six anyways).

If anyone could give me a hand, I'd appreciate it a lot.

it works w/ ETF, i used to change it to 4 turns per year
i've even changed it up to 12 turns per year, but i got bored, lol

I have installed the mod in the same directory as Empire Total War:
E:\Steam\steamapps\common\Empire Total War

Steam is running and I have tried to start Vanilla Empire = it works.
However when I try to start a game through the mod I get this error code:
Application load error 5:0000065434

Since I have a SSD drive at 250gb it really isn't an option to have my steamfolder containing 104GB games there.


From what I've read in earlier posts I guess I won't be able to use the mod?

I assume you're using ETF 2.1, so if you are then uninstall it and verify game cache for ETW in Steam. Also make sure you follow the instructions in the OP before you reinstall ETF.

When I try to run ETF21.exe I get an error message saying I do not have enough free space. But I check and there are many gigs of free space. Is there something I can do for this?

I dunno if that's an odd issue or not.

Anyway, I had the same problem the other day and I solve it by deleting the ClientRegistry.blob file in the Steam folder, so find the file and delete it. But exit Steam first before doing that.

I tried to start Vanilla Empire and it crashed. Well listen what to do and this isn't fixed via verify game cashe. Most probably in the past you installed a random empire mod that it wasn't mod foldered. Go to your roaming folder for example mine is in C:\Users\Bill\AppData\Roaming\The Creative Assembly\Empire\scripts and open your user.empire_script. Mine has leftovers from imperial destroyer, delete them save and play.

Yes, I also got this. (on Windows 10) I was able to launch the ETF21.exe by right click -> Properties -> Compatability and then run in Windows 7 compatability mode. I didn't test any further settings as this worked.

How strange! I am using Firefox and it works for me. I wonder where your browser is getting an address http://media1.gamefront.com/guploads from. The gamefront link in the original post is to http://www.gamefront.com/files/20687415/ETF21.zip

Hi, trying to download but it says file not found ?

If you tried to download ETF on GameFront then you should know that GameFront changed their policy regarding hosted files about 3-4 years ago, meaning they'll delete the file, if no one have downloaded the mod for a period of 90 days I think without a warning.

You can download ETF 2.1 here in case other links doesn't work.

You know despite my previous posts about this issue I got exactly the same issue myself and in contrast to you I didn't installed ETW in the Steam folder, instead I install it in a different partition.

However, like you I can start a vanilla campaign, but I cannot start ETF without having the same application error 5:0000065434 code regardless what I do.

So I suspect that the ETF 2.1 version aren't designed for ETW that's installed outside of the Steam folder, but I can only guess and I think we need to wait for HusserlTW to show up.


EDIT: I sent a PM to HusserlTW about this issue.

Update!

It seems that most mod foldered mods that was released (earlier than 2013 and/or perhaps in early 2012) before Valve change their policy about "installing games in the Steam folder" in 2012, cannot being used for games that's installed outside of the Steam folder.

I just tried to launch the TAR mod and got the same application 5:0000065434 error.



EDIT: Have just reinstalled ETW in the Steam folder and now can I launch ETF without the application 5:0000065434 error, so I think ETF doesn't work if ETW is installed outside of the Steam folder.

Thanks. Yes, I dot go to that link and then the second page where it starts countdown to download, but after counting down i get the message/link I mention in my post !
