Thread: Elven Units- Discussion and New Ideas

But even though they're just citizens they would still be highly proficient, and would probably be in possession of some armour. Imagine all the time these blacksmiths have at their disposal, and they would probably have a lot of surplus gear as the guys who cross the sea may not bring their weapons.

King Siegfried's units look awesome by the way.

I actually made a concept last night of a new unit (lightly armoured archer for the Eldar), I was thinking of posting it here once I got my scanner working.

Actually the 'surplus gear' is something more like a 'must'.
Valinor is a land of peace, and no weapon was forge, not even by Aule before Feanor turned the skills of Crafting to warmongering.
So as they returned, they shouldn't have bring along their weapons.

Seriously...those Mithlond Warriors are sexy, It'd be amazing if you made this available to the community mate, like I'm speechless
Funny that you should mention that.

I have included the texture files for the models I showed earlier. I used them on AUM's high-quality elf models (of which I included one), though I'm sure they'd work on the vanilla elves, too. Use for mods or whatever as you please. Thank me if you like, though no credit is necessary (all I really did was mix'n'match stuff - I'm pretty good at it). Enjoy!

Some impressive stuff, the Sindar Axemen is one fine illustration, kind of makes me want to make a unit out of it... The axe and tunic can be used for my planned silvan axe unit though.

The ceremonial sindar armor is hilarious, the design is awful.

It looks very lol for the cuirass part, and the paudron which is connected looks like it is going to strangle the elf
BTW, LL can I use the signature borrowed from your workshop?

I also found the design to be appealing in it's simplicity and elegance

You crush a man's dreams . I posted it for comic relief

    Lothlorien Archer/Elven Ranger
Both the High Elves and the Silvan Elves are in thurough need of a elite-medium tier Ranger Unit, this is a very good example of how that could possibly be accomplished...the armour is changed from steel to leather, no helmet, and the unit is adorned in clothing that helps camouflage in the forest...

Actually Turin was known as the 'elf-man', due to his outlook and manners and such......
    He looks strange like this.
But well it's his late days as a mad dreadful man

Feel free to use any of my sigs

The first figure is just your regular galadhrim design without the hood and helmet (nothing to it really). The second one is the second age design with some bits of rohan type armor I believe, and a spartan type helmet, again nothing special about the design.
