    Mallorca finished 5th last season.
    Getafe 6th
    Villarreal 7th
    Bilbao 8th

Only Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia and Sevilla were higher.

You obviously know little or nothing about Spanish football.

    Lol they still suck
Apart from Sevilla, Valencia, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid the rest all suck
I haven't seen any major impact from Spanish team in the last Europa/Champions League except Atletico Madrid(my fav Spanish team)

All leagues have bad teams, usually the best leagues have the same amount
Spain is level to that of England, Germany and Italy ofc

Atletico Madrid managed to finish 9th last season. Yet the teams above them suck? Makes sense....

Barcelona only went and reached the Semi Final.

Do you actually watch La Liga, more than 6 games a season?

Well at least Atletico actually have a European trophy
You don't get trophies for finishing 5th, 6th,7th(etc etc) in a league

Barcelona is one (if not THE) best clubs atm, how are they NOT supposed to do well?

So if team doesn't manage to win an European trophy = sucks?

    Thats harsh.

Poor Alavés made it to the finals, still sucks... tsc. (plays in Segunda B atm btw)

Though finishing higher in the league means they were the better team that season, generally.

No, but if a team wins a European trophy they are marked in history for it
Nobody is gonna remember Juventus for finishing 7th place in 2010, nobody is going to remember Hamburg for finishing 8th in 2010, nobody is going to remember Bilbao for finishing 8th in 2010, but EVERYONE(who highly interests himself in football) is going to remember that Inter Milan won the 2010 CL and Atletico Madrid won the 2010 EL

Barcelona are Catalan not Spanish and yet I forgot about them
But apart from the obvious Barcelona and Atletico, RM and the rest of the Spanish teams disappointed in the 2009/2010 European titles(forget about Valencia who passed to a certain round thanks to away goals which I so extremely hate)

Ronaldo is not over-rated, just that he has a love him/hate him personality.

I hate him, but he is a gifted player, no doubt about that. He also scored a load of goals for Man United in "The Best League in the World." Where the teams are all very, very good.

I still remember Alavés finishing second in UEFA cup.

And that club is a dwarf in Spanish football.

    2009/2010 =/= entire history.

Yea and Sevilla are Andalusian and Atletico are Castilian etc etc.

Then you start rambling about how teams did in 2010.

And yes, somebody remembered poor Alavés finishing second 10 years ago.

My team: Granada is now in Segunda...I hope it will go at Primera next year not so sure...

Whatever, I was criticizing CR9 not Spanish football
I like to watch the La Liga, just the good teams though. What ticks me off is that it is WAY too predictable each year. Real, Barca, Real, Barca, Real, Barca and so on and so forth

^ A-ha! Another one who remembers.

Granada will have real tough time even avoiding relegation I'm afraid. But anything can happen.

No, I just said that apart from Barca, Real, Atletico, Valencia and Sevilla the rest suck
Just like apart from Inter, Milan, Roma, Sampdoria, Palermo and Juventus in the Serie A the rest suck
or just like apart from West Ham, Tottenham, Arsenal, Chelsea, Man Utd./City in the EPL the rest suck
or just like apart from Werder Bremen, Bayern München, Schalke, Leverkusen, Hamburg and Dortmund in the Bundesliga the rest suck

By "suck" I mean, not as high-calibre-as-expected-to-win trophies
