oh wow thats bad, but do we get the option eventually to enlist more troops eventually?
I wouldnt count on the Ottomans posing a threat to you anytime soon, judging from the battle results even their victories are costly, and the Sultanate of Rum (on the map of antolia it says sultanate of Rome, lol?) is lucky enough to be a vassel to the mighty Il-Khanate

Eventually yes, but right now you will mostly rely on levies, knights/their regional equivalent and mercenaries - professional standing armies either did not exist or were small and very expensive in this time, and most feudal lords didn't like the idea of a centrally-controlled army that could crush their peasant conscripts with ease.
oh i get it, its backwords. no wonder all the arabs wanted to invade the "roman" empire

ok, just wanted to make sure we wouldnt have one army for the whole game lol. Although for some reason it seems like we've done more than 2 turns...Eventually yes, but right now you will mostly rely on levies, knights/their regional equivalent and mercenaries - professional standing armies either did not exist or were small and very expensive in this time, and most feudal lords didn't like the idea of a centrally-controlled army that could crush their peasant conscripts with ease.
