My castles say they need 80000 population to upgrade. So I'd recommend not starting a full game, as changing the values destroy saves.

Started a new campaign and my castle needs 80000 population to be upgraded. Fortresses are fine. Rebel town of padmea has no garrison. Ly kan archers have AP arrows.

The castle on the island south of wotan position has no garrison. I'm not at home, so I don't have the name. It's the settlement on the western part of the island, which has two total settlements.

Its an easy win to start your empire with . I will be modding the full version (so new downloaders wont need the patch, I will fix it in theat, not going to make a patch for that though)

i think there might be a problem with town towers.. i was playing as Valhalla and i used ladders to attack a town of france (i cant remember their full name off the top of my head) so i get about 400 soldiers onto the walls and they only had about 100 and i killed all but twenty of them and took the gates but the towers were still firing on my soldiers and still flew the french flags.. these were the wooden walls. i ended up loosing 400 something men but i still took the settlement. i have not had this problem with castles or further developed cities and walls.
overall: small town with a garrison of 200 men is harder to take then a castle with a garrison of 400

by the way i am playing on VH/H if that makes a difference

I 've never had any issue with sieges, they are tough but I do prefer them that way.
You are playing on vh/h, too so that will only make them tougher. My issue with vanilla was that is was always too easy, I mean almost as soon as you get onto the walls the enemy would just retreat to the plaza. In Thera the AI will make a concerted effort to defend the walls until it is hopless and then they retreat to the plaza. Im glad people are finding the seiges challenging.

Changes so small it doesnt warrant a new version number

Ah you didnt go with the princess idea...

But at least i can play as the Irish now! (which is a big +)

Also, after your faction leader offends the nobility, and generals become obedient or rebellious, why is that irriversable? If your faction gets it together, the economy goes back up, and your leader's authority gets better, shouldnt the trait go away

I just end campaign on v3.0, and now I want to start second on new version. But it's posible to somehow have all changes of patch without "Settlement mechanics rework - higher upgrade requirements" (I want to have faster beter units)?
