napoleon is running slow on my cpu.

hi, i just bought a new cpu from best buy and when im playing total war, it runs slow when i zoom in. i dont know that much about computers so i am listing what my cpu has that i got from their website. can someone tell me where my problem is? im guessing its either the video card, the processor, or both. im running it at the lowest settings, which helped, but im just not satisfied with the way the game looks. please help. thanks.

Intel's graphics acclelerator is slowing you down the most. The ram it's using is for your ccpu. Shared memory for 3d graphics is not good.

Your graphics chip is not made for 3d gaming, period.

Having only 32mb allocated slows it down more as it robs more ram from your cpu. The ram for thie chip slower than on a dedicated graphics card. Reducing your monitor resolution to 1280 x 1024 would help.

For what this game requires, it will be slow on your computer.

Yes, you do need a graphics card.

You have a pciex16 slot. I checked your computer specs.

The case in the picture looks small even for a tower so measure twice, buy once.

You will need a larger power supply than your 220 watt to run it adequately. That is another measure twice, buy once.

try the HD 4650 they have low profile cards, and for the psu.... you´ll have to hunt the format that is yours, if you say to us we can take a look for you.

but seriously you´re better off returning the pc, since it is underpowered, old.

damn. well, this sucks. the only thing about returning it is, i am really strapped for cash and ive been looking on their website and it just seems like the adequate cpus are just too much for me to afford.
