Geronimo, this seems like an excellent mod but I am encountering the same problem as mrx47, I have done what you stated (Verify integrity, deleted scripts, fx_cache files and redownloaded the files) and still no success, when entering a battle with your units it always CTD. Any advice?

You need to "Run as Administrator". Rightclick on Steam and select "Run as Administrator". Loading screen CTDs are usually because players neglect to do this with Windows 7 and Vista. It relates to permission-related issues. When the battle is loading the game needs to access the models and texture files and with Vista and 7 it won't let you unless you run as administrator. That is why some people get CTDs on the loading screen. So just "Run as Administrator" and the problem should be fixed.

Steam is running as administrator. I am running no other mods apart from this one. As for Windows 7, I am quite happy with XP.

Well I still run vanilla fine, it is only your units that are causing the crash. Video drivers are up to date.
*I've lost hope, ended up just deleting it, cheers.

Sorry to hear that about your difficulties Furyon. You can also play my Portuguese units in the TAR mod as this mod is part of it.

Yes, I've decided to wipe Empire and start a fresh install then install TAR and hopefully that may clear up any underlying issues. I can only *assume* it may be due to old mods that I haven't cleared up properly but haven't been an issue so it's easier to wipe and restart.

Glad you are going to install TAR 2.0 beta, hope you enjoy it
like you I wanted to play this mod with a Imperial spiendour 2.4 and I had the same problems started to play around by picking one unit at a time then found that every unit i picked that did not have the vanilla unit officers and drummer I.E. ....EURO_OFFICER2/EURO_DRUMMER2
they all gave a ctd when loaded so I used PFM and converted the unit officers and drummers to vanilla and now the mod loads fine with no CTDs.....the problem is the officer/drummer skins causing a conflict with certain mods also had the same problem with the Denmark mod, fixed it by reverting thr=e officers and drummers back to vanilla.
hope this helps in solving the issues, agaimn a fantastic mod GERONIMO +rep and takecare

Geronimo,
After reinstalling ETW, I had to download again the Portuguese Unit Pack. I also downloaded the Ornamentum Mod. However, I have a few questions:
- When I installed back the PUP, the units name don't show up. For example, in the Regiment of Elvas, instead of seeing "Regiment of Elvas (Line Infantry)", you only see "(Line Infantry)". This happens to all the units, including those of the Ornamentum mod. It does not happen to those that are part of the game though... How do I solve this?
- I want remove the "Cazadores" unit from both Portugal and Spain and remove Ornamentum's "Caçadores" from Spain. How do I do it?
I appreciate attention. Thank you.
