RTW crashes

I've recently got a problem where the game just crashes when I try to start a new campaign or simply loading a old one. Reinstalling worked once, but the next day it was back crashing as usual.

Any thoughts? My computer is very good, can play all new games on highest settings without having fps drops.

Just tried to play some quick/historical battles, same problem there. Crashes immediately when I try to start the battle, loading screen doesn't even pop up.

Also Got no problems at all with MTWII and Empire. Doubt that info would help though.

Are you trying to play it on Empire's settings?

For starters, find the preferences.txt and set the strategy and battle resloutions to 1024x768.

Anyway same problem even when i change to 1024x768. Any other thoughts?

Just tried BI... And it works without any problems at all... I don't understand wtf is wrong x(

Delete the map.rwm and the preferences.cfg.

They would fix about anything wrong but a file corrupted. BI has its own folder so it would not be affected.

I hate it but ot lloks like the only way left is uninstall and reinstall of the game and patches.
