Nobody expects the Imperial Inquisition
ye,what does that do.the ship on the ground.
God wills it
A chainshot in a land cannon would be useful against infantry, I'm sure it was used..
Would have been more effective at range than grapeshot, and it could have swung like a swirling menace through the enemy ranks, smashing everything it its path
Nobody expects the Imperial Inquisition
Any thoughts on how to mod it in?
Dont just assume it was used, do some research. I took me all of three seconds to find the answer.

It appears that is was used on land in one documented case, but it was never adopted for field use due to its expense - canister and grape shot being just as effective and cheaper to produce. The real goal of chain shot is to remove rigging/sails/masts etc. Its naval ordinance and therefore no need for a mod for its use on land.
Danny: "They thought we was devils?"
Billy Fish: "Oh, Kafiristan people's very ignorant. I say to headman, Uta, I say 'Oh no, by jove! They're not devils, they gora sahibs, British soldiers!'"
Danny: "Good man Billy Fish."
Peachy: "And now, if you'll take us to this Uta bloke, we will begin his education."

unless of coure you just want your land cannons to be able to fire chain shot, it doesnt neccasarily have to be historicly accurate.
It would be interesting to test it in battle, without the disadvantage of the cost!
