    1) When it's done, something that will take multiple years.

    2) No. But it will be a standalone and not interfere with TATW or any other mod.

    Pentecostal Knight had good ideas, but I would migt changed them a bit;
    - Swallow or Explorers guild?
    - Tree Population growth bonus instead of farming bonus?
    - Fountain Increase public order instead of culture growth?
    - Golden Flower Only exp. and unit

    Edit:
    - Swallow should have archer guild AND explorers guild.

    - Perhaps Fountain should get public order + the solider experience, instead? Echtelion killed Gothmog, great Glorfindel "only" fought some unnamed balrog after all.

    - Golden flower could increased farmning then? Could they also increase battle recovery?

We'll release when factions and map are done, later on more stuff will be added (scripts, traits, ancillaries, etc, that didn't make it into the first build).

Thank you both for ideas, I'll certainly be using a lot of those (though not all). And Ngugi, could you explain what you mean by 'explorers guild'?

That guide seems to be outdated, in EDB the guild has no effects at all and I don't see why it makes sense to give such an atribute to the Swallow's House.

    My bad.

The idea of them to be given the expl. guild was solely based upon their name, as the swallow is a very fast bird.
Though a archer guild could be enough and well it just seemed fun to give them something more, increased movement or LOS for example.

Here's a random idea. Despite being land-locked, Gondolin had a fair number of skilled mariners, since Turgon often sent messengers into the West to seek the Valar. Few ever returned, but some did. You could represent this in a variety of ways: a mariner unit, a trait (e.g. "experienced mariner" or "has voyaged into the West") or a building like a mariners' guild. Just thinking out loud.

Those of the marines who tried to go west all died, but one singel man, he who took Tuor to Gondolin.
Do not remeber correctly though, but did Turgon sent any other sailsmen other then those away from the hidden city? In case they all might been dead once they turned mariner

Hey! I just got an idea! What about addimg a petty-dwarf faction? I know that Mim, Khim and Ibun where the last of 'em, but if the campain starts before n.a there could have been a few hundreds. In Amon Rudh where after all big halls and black-smithes.

There were not hundreds, only those three were left since long before Túrin.

Yeah, we start only 16 years or so before Túrins travelling and all.

OK, I just though I read somewhere in the beginning of the thread that you should start just after noldor arrived.

    Hello everybody
I'm new in the forum, but I've followed it for a long time and I think the whole work you're doing is great !

just got an idea: considering the immportance of weddings and matrimonial alliances in Middle Earth, why shouldn't Elven and Human factions have the princess like vanilla MTW? is it a choise or a technical complication or smthing else?

There is nothing to stop them from marrying Orcs, so I would imagine this is the reason.

We might do so, I've though about it before.

Only if the Orcs can have princesses themselves, which they of course wouldn't.

Wouldn't you still have human or elvish princesses marrying orcish generals though?

Exactly, which is why we shouldn't have princesses.
