Immortal Greek generals

I've noticed one very annoying bug. Greek generals are immortal when fighting against them in a town/city (that I'm besieging). I manage to kill everyone else but the Greek general always has one immortal soldier (which is the general ). I can conquer the cities by distracting the general to follow some of my soldiers and then I take over the center of the settlement with other troops and wait till the timer goes to zero.

Is anyone else facing the same problem?

Shower him with javelins or send AP units to finish him off, even as the greek generals are though for fighting on foot they die like everybody else

Ok, I'll try that. It just seems so weird to me that 1 soldier always survives although he is surrounded by masses of soldiers (spearmen in this case).

ya i see that in all the total war's, and ya I think that also.

Greek Generals are apt to gain traits which give them extra hit points with the result that they are very hard to kill because they can take many hits.
