Default Is this possible (campaign editing)

I'm trying to edit a campaign, or clone it and then edit. The idea is to have already made armies and not start from scratch.
For instance, in the Egypt campaign one starts with Napoleon with about 14 regiments I believe. Kleber with 3 and Desaix with about 6 if I recall correctly.
I'd just like to edit that and have full armies ready to roll from the beginning, only stopping to recruit militia in each city for public order.
The next problem that I assume would come is the upkeep cost causing bankruptcy, so maybe I'd change the starting gold one has.

Anyway, is this possible and relatively easy?
    Thanks.

Well I think I found out how to do it. It's in the ESF guide.
Anyway, I can't seem to be able to add new units to a general.

You can't add new units. It's a zero sum problem. You have to "borrow" units from other factions and assign them to the general instead.

I see. I noticed each unit (regiment) in the ESF file has an ID number, for instance Napoleon's 3 foot artillery regiments are 052, 053 and 054 if I recall correctly. I assume this are the numbers fixed to the campaign. So those are the ones I need to burrow from other "factions"?
Or maybe from my own faction, move all the units from the three different generals into one?

Ah this sucks, I just wanted to have an army ready to go instead of having to build it in-game, it's kinda annoying.

Exactly. The ids are what we haven't figured out how to replace. You change the units belonging to the id and then assign them to a new army (the officer's esf entry has the army's location). You need to make the changes in the factions_array and cai_world.
