Sry, but I dont like it like this.
For me it looks ugly and strange.
Dunno what others feel about it ...
I somewhat like it but not fully cause of the other faces that have weird burnt places on their face idk
this is war ,of course. Its dirty and ugly.i am just finished the france.for others maybe later.
God wills it
Depends is this done as some sort of overlay texture as in med2 days where it could be aplied gradually during the course of the battle or is it as it looks a direct colouring of the unit textures which means they will start and end the battle with the same blood and dirt splatters on them ??
If it is the first being an overlay texture(which from looking at it doesnt seem to be) then great no one has been able to do overlay texturing like med2 style yet .
Although you may want to refigure the actuall textures for blood and dirt there not quite realistic
But if it is what it apears and thats a direct colouring of the unit texture why would you ant this it would have the soldiers looking terrible before they have even started to fight .
Could you explain exactly what you intent to do? I am sure nobody understand. What the community needs, indeed, is blood on the corpses, when soldiers are dead and not alive. Besides, I think that soldiers don't need to have so much blood on them...It looks like evil dead...
Could you precise then?
Be nice if the blood splatter would be on dead corpses
Has anyone seen Kelly's Heroes? it looks like the enemy are using paint instead of lead? very much loke paintball.... sorry mate but this just looks rwong... i know that MIITW had some great dirt an Blood mesches, but this just does not look like War......it looks more like they "really like Beetroot juice"

I didn't know the the Grande Armee became a tribe of cannibals.
''Monsieur that Wellington sure has some nice boots, which means nice juicy ankles!''.
''I see what you did there Pascal, Wellington boots haw haw!''.
But...this would most definitely work as a gradual texture where by the end they looked like this.
Maybe when they're alive, the blood is a little bit exagerated but you could put more dirt over their pants instead. Because after 2 weeks of walk, the pants were very dirty.
Haha! I think it's a refreshing concept I can imagine two large zombie armies like... using tactics and whatever xD awesome. I'm gonna try it out jusat for the sake of it
I think it's a nice idea, although just a bit over the top for me. If the blood and dirt was lessened slightly, it would suit me better personally.
Muh signature is so out of date all muh pictures died.
Because all the models are the same, any effect applies to all the men... so they look like parts of the uniform - it'll never look random... which is what's needed. Now, I know the troops can have different faces so there must be a level of randomness possible. And I am not sure about the ability to only apply certain items/colors on death and dead animations, but unless we can, this seems like a no-go.

Is this like a zombie mod or something? Soldiers back from the dead?

Yeah, it's DEAD mod after all. Zombies are back! Though they don't really look too convincing yet. If you want them to look more alive you can lessen the splatters, if you want them to look more dead, increase splatters. Now they're a bit inbetween.
Isnt it obvious? Hes trying to give wounded soldiers a layer of dirt and blood. And I think the pictures we see is only a very basic idea of it.
I like the idea! And I hope you find a way to implement a system where only wounded soldiers get a layer of blood and dirt, maybe in different variations?
