So I have this problem.

Whenver I try to run EoD it gets as far as the first screen, where it shows the name and all of the developer's logos, etc, but then it CTDs and I get a popup that looks like this.



What did I mess up?

I'm guessing the install at some point. We'd need a bit more info to diagnose your problem fully (if at all) such as what operating system you're running and if you have RTW/BI patched as per install instructions.

I am running Windows Vista, and BI is patched to 1.6

this is line 50 in vanilla rtw.Have you tried to apply the latest patch (once again)?

I don't think that's the problem: Every other mod, and vanilla itself works fine! It's just this mod that doesn't!

but i do think this is the problem! The entry in this line is probably wrong, meaning there could be the wrong faction listed there. So try downloading the latest 1.0.1 patch from here:http://files.filefront.com/101zip/;7.../fileinfo.html.
Then tell me if it worked.

Iirc Vista does cause issues with the install, Makanyane did write an answer to this somewhere. I don't have access to the net at home at the moment and limit access at work. Suggest you pm Makanyane.

But I did download the latest patch. Thanks, but I don't think that's the issue.

Once you've followed the instructions re-install EoDI. It's a bit long winded but basically you need to turn of (UAC)'

I get a CTD whenever i try to start a campaign. it says "generic error: insufficient video memories to load required textures.

it only happens when i try to start campaigns, custom battles work fine

I've heard of this but can't imagine why your getting that err msg. Usually that msg relates to textures with an incorrect file ext. We know that's not the case with EoD. Are you sure you have RTW patched correctly? Check the version you have by starting the vanilla game and note the number on the top right of the splash screen.

figured out the problem, I had to install it to my main directory, Like with FATW, instead of my copy of my directory, like Amazon total War

I'm getting the exact same error, except I'm using XP. My BI is patched to 1.6, and everything else works fine.

Either the DL was corrupted (unlikely) or you RTW/BI wasn't clean, or it's not patched correctly.
