Rome Total War is Freezing

Hi folks, I'm Kerdied.

I'm getting the problem of Game Freezing on my Rome: Total War.

Starts the Campaing Map or the Battle Map and suddenly freezes and I need to reboot my computer.

The game is patched to 1.5 and my Graphic Card is patched too.

I tried to reinstal, re-patch my game and the Graphics Card but didn't work.

All other games runs smooth without problems. I'm getting problem only with RTW.

My computer is a AMD Phenom II X4 940 Processor 3.01 GHz, Windows XP Service Pack 3, 2gb Ram with a NVIDiA 9500 GT, does someone can help me?

Are you sure your graphics card is not overheating? Does it do it on any other games than Rome?

Other games run smoothy. I played Halo 2, Call of Juarez 2, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and other games and nothing happend.

But Rome Total War is Freezing. And it a absurd, because my computer surpass the Recomended requirement.

How much dedicated memory on your graphics card? Have you cleaned the dirt out of the case?

I cleaned the connectors and my Graphic Card is 512MB DDR2 and 550 MHz Core.

It is a GeForce 9500 GT.

Please specify, when it freezes it doesnt respond to cntrl+alt+del?

No, doesn't respond to Ctrl+Alt+Del.

I can only reboot pressing the "reboot" button or turning off my PC.

Did you use any mods?

If no it sounds like hardware problem

It sounds like a hardware problem to me. If your PC used to play the game OK and you've made no changes I'd suggest a spring clean of your PC is overdue. Use compressed air or a blower brush to get rid of dust out of the case.

I cleaned again, reinstalled the Drivers, cause Medieval 2 was Freezing too.

Well, westerday, I spent lot's of time playing Medieval 2 and nothing happend.

But, a few minutes ago, when I entered in Campaing Map of Rome: Total War freezed in less than a minute.

I runned benchmark, video card test, RAM test and notthing happend. There is a problem with NVIDEA vga compability with Rome: Total War?

I have exactly the same problem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've a NVIDEA GForce 6200 but the game used to work well with it!

It happens me with Roma Surrectum 1.6 mod and with RTW 1.5

A few months ago I've been playing RS and It worked perfectly. (I've won the entired greek campaing)

I have a 9800GT and it plays good. It played good on a 7300LE I had.

I have never played RS, so if there are any conlicts, cotact their forum. Is ther any info in their download thread?
