Thread: Broken Crescent 3.0 Pre-Preview!

Skill does nothing against missiles, so archers are actually overpowered - at least in terms of damage, considering that armour is grossly underpowered.

All of this will be fixed in my RR/RC submod.

But seriously guys, anything this summer?
I know there is a lot of work in here, but you can't make a mod for, I don't know, 2 more years (3.0), cause soon Rome II will come and then (probabely) MIII, and who will play MII with MIII avaible?

No offense, I just love that too much, this mod rock the basket.

Work is progressing steadily. The New preview was basically ready 3 weeks ago but we are waiting for one important unit to be created. Know that all is well.

R2 is at least a year and a half away, and it will suck, and M3 is many years away, and it will suck, so lots of people will still play M2, just like how many people still play Diablo 2, because D2 was so good and because D3 sucks.

I will play BC3 no matter what shiny piece of crap CA releases in the meantime.

No doubt that Medieval is my favourite part, but how can you judge now, that Rome will suck?
Moreover, everything seems to be mindfudgin' so I don't really understand. It gonna rock&roll,
and MIII will be even more annihilating.

And Diablo, that's a different story.

TheMalevolentKing: Thanks for such a fast reply. IMO, regularly provide previews is essential. With such a big deal. And they are something like new versions, being an appetizer, though
So, you need 2-3 weeks more? I just gotta know, my hot seat campaign with my chap gotta be finished

Actually 2.4 will take a month or two. Its just one faction ready.

    See my post here: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...547866&page=27

EB2 will be far superior to R2.

The Rum roster is being redone for 2.4, so it might take a while.

k/t: You are right in some points, I agree. But you far overdo in most of cases. Time will verify. I'd love to get a new quality, but perhaps they are just fooling us. Moddable - it will be, if you can read that maybe unsuitable for your theories part about modding tools to be prepared....
I'll try EB2, but how come it could be "far superior" that a brand new game, built on a new engine, letting cross old borders
But that is not my point.

When it comes to BC 3.0 - So you've written that it was ready, but just one unit. Now you say that this is one faction? Well, what can we do apart from waitin' and supporting you
But I'd like to play it this holidays.
No matter, I'd like to hear some news soon!

    Cheers!

I said the "New preview", not 2.4.

And sooner than those 2-3 months expected for 2.4?

Not likely, although we will try to put out some more previews.

I'm so glad that the Seljuk Sultanate of Rum is being reworked. It always felt a bit awkward fielding jannisaries.

It wouldn't be so bad if they only became available later on, when they did historically.

It would also require holding European territories. But even then the jannisaries were soldiers of the Ottomans, who, though successor to the Seljuk Sultanate of Rum, were one of very many.
