As always the Third Age team has taken my breath away with beautiful, awesomely powerful work. I must say I like both the Eriador and Arnor units and I look forward to creating two Eriador games: One for resurrecting Arnor and the other aimed at expansion. Very good work, and bless all the devs it was definitely worth waiting five patches for.
And Muffer your comments leave me bewildered as always....![]()
I was saying that the Arnorian units will completely replace the Eriador units. They will not be available at the same time.
After Arnor is reestablished, King Painis Cupcake orders to ultimately kill all Hobbits to piss off Muffer Ni. Because he dislikes Knights who say Ni and he hates LEETLE MEN STEALIN' HIS CART. They won't be recruitable.
I keep wondering what will be the conditions to restore Arnor?
I know we'll have to wait and find ourselves, but it is the one thing I am itching to know.
Actually there will be recruitable Hobbits after the restoration of Arnor if that idea from DG still lives. After Arnor is reestablished, King Painis Cupcake orders to ultimately kill all Hobbits to piss off Muffer Ni. Because he dislikes Knights who say Ni and he hates LEETLE MEN STEALIN' HIS CART. They won't be recruitable.
Just a 'what if' building on what you're saying about Eriador being lots of small regions as opposed to one state, but what if instead of eriador there were several minor factions, ie. shire, bree, etc (my lore isn't great) instead of Eriador and if one minor faction managed to capture all the other minor factions capitals (or something like that) they would then get the option to become arnor, because they have united all the regions or something.
Just something that came to me while reading the original post on this thread. Obviously you guys have put to much effort into 1.5 (which is looking very good) to change it all but maybe something to think about in a future patch or someones sub-mod.
Great work everyone! This mod can only get better!![]()
weird idea.. so the hobbits need to slaughter the dunedain so that the can become an evil force because they became an occupation force (dictatorship) that's where it comes down to then..
if you ask me then it would be best to make eriador units completely AOR.. dunedain only recruitable in the north.. hobbits only in the shire.. lumberman in bree.. it would make it more lore and more difficult for eriador to expand

When it's done.
As I supposed

you make a valid point, balancing would be a pretty big issue, and law would go out the window abit in some places, like in your example with the hobbits, I just like the idea of uniting (you say occupying) the regions to make a super power. If this idea did come to fruition I think its would be fun but each faction would have to be well thought out.
Such as...
Hobbits have lots of troops, but are quite weak
Dunedain have strong troops, but not alot
and Bree are somewhere in the middle
but I see your point, I just thought of it on the spot and decided to put it out there to see what people thought

I hate hobbits.
As little pals? Sure. Bet they make great friends and throw wondrous parties.
In anything else? Nope, go away.
