Inspire and Rally

I am confused as to what they do. I think rally resets a units morale, but I have no idea what inspire does. The adviser says your men shoot faster, but I do not see a difference. If inspire does work, how long does the inspire effect last? Finally, is there any way to increase the duration of the effect, or even give it a area effect?

I believe inspire makes the units fight to the death.

Oh, then what does rally do? I am clearly very confused....

Rally gives a temporary morale boost to all the units within the generals radius and sometimes encourages routing units to reform.

Inspire is much more powerful but as you said it only works on one unit whereas rally works on all units close to the General

The advisor said it improves melee and accuracy.
