Modified Deployment Zones ETW v0.4 *updated 18 Aug 2012

updated 8/18/2012 v0.4 distant version "z_Modified_Deployment_Zones.zip" is the new file.

Made a set for NTW that increased the deployment zone size for campaign field battles, here's a set for ETW as well. There are 2 versions, the close pack uses the default starting distances for opposing armies, but has wider zones, and more depth for the defender. The other pack does the same, but also has the opposing armies starting farther apart for those wanting more time for maneuver etc before locking horns.

I'm calling this version a test release. I only had a little time to test it so far so figured I'd go ahead and put it out here for anyone wanting to give it a try. Please lemme know if anything isn't working right, such as the default deployment zones still being in effect, CTDs obviously caused by this, etc. It is in "Movie" format, so should only need to be placed in Empire's data folder. Also, I have not altered siege/sally battles yet, currently only field battles and bridge battles are altered.

v0.15: Possible CTD issue removed.
v0.4 Regular/non-close version updated. Had this on my HD for ages, thought I had uploaded it... Fixes CTD issues I was able to find in certain situations.

Be sure to delete any old version, believe the filename was changed so it won't overwrite the older...

I have downloaded the files and downloaded to my data folder. Yet I still get the defaukt deployment zones. Is there anything else I must do?

Updated. Download z_Modified_Deployment_Zones to update the distant deployment zones, fixes a CTD issue that I managed to isolate. Possible update for siege battles in the works too, though probably be some time before/if it works out.
