sounds interesting, let's see what Rio says about this. I know it's possible to script battles.
Hi hannibalcaesar
You mean something other than custom battles?
I'm not for forcing armies to fight while playing the game. It in my opinion takes away too much from balancing the AI as it should be. But..It although may work at the onset of a game in a historical context or as far as a scripted rebellion. I'm very hesitant though.
Under the esteemed patronage of Ramon Gonzales y Garcia IB and IB2 Mod
If you want to get an example, you can download TERROR BARBARORUM and look at the scripting in that. I'm implementing that 3 hun full stacks appear at the Rhine and ravage gaul, then stopping outside of chalons, where 2 full roman stacks (one incuding Aetius) and 1 Visigoth Full stack apper at Narbo and meat the huns at chalons. Aetius, attila and THeodoric will be "teleported" from wherever they currently were. If Rio's okay with it, I'll forward you and Rio data on this for the IBII mod.
I'm still scripting It and working out some bugs but I'll have it to you in a few weeks.
Just Download the Preview patch for Terror Barbarorum, but you need Rio's BRG III for it to run.

Why do that ? Its role playing ,if in your game Aetius is killed or turns rebel ,what then? or the Franks of Alamanni have taken Gaul ? You should just have the ability to play as historically as possible but you can change the course of events .You never get the AI to play ball anyway
Yeah, Im gonna negate that scripting Idea, Im still having issues with BRG III too...
Well, about that, hanibalcaesar wanted that kind of scripting in his game so chalons etc. would be automatic, so I explained to him how it would work in UR and offered him the chance to download it.
You mean unique models for some cities?
Then, no to both as far as I know.
there might be something in the futue, but it has no priority.
Do you know of models suitable for our timeframe?
I think AOD II could help, but it's not finished yet so I doubt it.
As it happens yes and no, the mod starts in 550ce, the leader is very forthcoming with sharing, carnt hurt to ask, just a thought .http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...324017&page=11
Interesting - didnt know about this project - thx for the link.
special items in siege battles would be pretty sweet, and, maybe some super weapon to make up for badly outnumbered romans?
